Day: 28
Prompt: Water
Pairing: Winger and Summer
Fandom: Rescue Riders

Summer stretched and yawned. Another day, another swimming lesson she would give Winger! She had been training him for quite a while, but he still hadn't gotten used to being in the water. Winger had also been training Summer to fly quicker, but that was easier than swimming was for him. Swiftwings were never really built for underwater exploration.

"Winger!" Summer called out into the sleep cave.

"Can you keep it down? Some of us would like to sleep in on this freezing cold day." Cutter mumbled as he snuggled into Aggro.

"So you guys know where Winger is?" Summer asked.

"Nope." Aggro replied, laying her head back down and warming her scales for Cutter.

"He went outside. I don't know what he's doing, but he's out there." Burple told her.

"Thanks Burp!" Summer said as she flew out the door in search of Winger. She didn't have to look long. He was easy to spot, already by the ocean.

"Alright Wing! You're up early. Ready to train?" She asked him.

"Well that's the thing, since a cold front came in-"

"You're gonna let the cold stop you?" Summer teased.

"No, that's not what I meant-"

"Come on, I've been wanting to show you this trick all night!" Summer shot into the air, then began to spiral downwards.

"Summer no!" Winger screamed. Too late. Summer smacked the ocean, which had turned to ice overnight.

"Ow..." She mumbled.

"That's what I was trying to tell you." Winger said.

"Sorry..." Summer replied, rubbing her chin. She flexed her front paws to make sure they weren't broken. She tried to stand up, but ended up sliding around.

"Woah! Hey, this is pretty cool!" She exclaimed as she pushed herself across the ice. Winger chuckled and followed her lead.

His claws carved patterns in the solid ice. The two made it almost a dance, sliding in circles and holding onto each other. The two grabbed each other's paws and spun around and around, then let go. They shot off in different directions, Summer giggling like crazy. She got back up and slid over to Winger. As he stood up, he got into a crouching position, then sprang at Summer and knocked her into a pile of snow. It was all in good fun, they weren't fighting. The two burst out laughing as they sat in the snow. Winger leaned over and kissed Summer unexpectedly.

"You're really fun to hang out with!" He claimed. Summer just stared and tried to speak, but could only mumble incoherent words. Winger chuckled and slid off, leaving Summer a stuttering, blushing mess.
