Chapter Twelve

After breakfast Taehyung spent his whole morning training he learned about the tasks of a head alpha, learned about how to lead meetings, training, how to handle the paperwork, and how to deal with the people on his pack.

It was a lot of work, his mind was still trying to process everything. He was tired and wanted to stop for today, but his mother insisted on continuing. Now he was about to go have lunch.

"So Tae, how are you feeling about the idea of becoming the head alpha?" Baekhyun asked him something everyone was curious about.

"It's not as bad as I thought" even though it wasn't what he expected, it was still a good answer.

"That's good to hear son" his father gave him a light tap on his shoulder.

The subject was soon changed, turning the lunch table, which only consisted of the head alpha's family, to a much more relaxing mood.

Soon after the lunch was over Taehyung went back to his father's office along with his brother.

"Where's your mate Baek?" The head alpha asked his oldest son.

"Mom took him for a walk. She said she wanted to get to know him better" he explained with a chuckle.

"Poor boy, he's gonna regret this moment forever" Taehyung laughed it out making both his father and brother laugh along.

"Since we're talking about mates. Who are you going to mate Tae?" Baekhyun was looking at his brother expecting an answer but only got a confused face.

"You know you have to mate someone, right? I think you have at least one week to find a mate after you become head alpha, isn't that it dad?" The true blood alpha now focused on his father.

"Yes Baek, that's true" their father said through gritted teeth.

"I'm only going to mate my fated mate" Taehyung was very serious now "And if I have to wait for my fated one till I can be a head alpha, then I'll wait"

Both Baekhyun and Junhyun - The head alpha- expected this answer, but before any of them could say anything Taehyung's friends appeared in the office.

"Hello head alpha" Namjoon greeted and the other boys bowed their heads.

"Hello" Junhyun greeted back, he looked at Baekhyun before saying "I think your brother wants to be alone with his friends, let's go save your Chanyeol" he said pulling his son with him while saying goodbye to the boys.

"I'm glad you decided to give this a chance Tae" Namjoon exclaimed, feeling proud of his friend.

"Yes, we're very proud of you" Jimin said while hugging his best friend. "Even Yoongi hyung, but he's not going to assume that" Jeongguk laughed it out.

All the boys laughed with him, but the laugh got louder after Yoongi slapped Jeongguk' s head. The younger pouted and only received a glare from his hyung.

"I'm your hyung, you should respect me little brat"

"Sorry hyung, I love you though" Jeongguk was making a heart with his hands.

"Now let's continue with Taehyung" Jimin grabbed everyone's attention. "What made you change your mind?" He asked

"Nothing much, I had a talk yesterday. And after that I realized a couple of things" Taehyung explained.

"Talk with who?"

"Someone that it's not your business" his friends groaned

"Why are you like this hyung?" Jeongguk shook him. "Can't you make us happy?"

"I thought that you were happy with me being the head alpha?" He questioned and everyone nodded.

"Now let's talk about something important" Taehyung said dismissing the curious eyes on him. "Yoongi hyung, I want you to be my right hand"

"What? Why?!" Yoongi whined, not liking the idea.

"I did not expect this" said Jimin, shocked by the answer.

"What do you mean why? You're a beta, and a person I trust a lot" Taehyung was looking at his hyung with a done face. "That means you're the perfect right hand"

"But you also trust Hoseok, why not him?"

"Hoseok hyung is not here, okay? So it will be you" before Yoongi could complain Taehyung continued "You have no choice in this"

"Fine" Yoongi said with a sulking face.
