Chapter 18

Ellie's P.O.V

"Lucas? What the fuck are you doing here?" I shout accusingly at him

"Caleb, give us a minute?" He ignores me

"Does Rachel know about this?" I ask

"Sure, see ya later, bye Ellie" Caleb says walking out of the room with a plate of pancakes

"I'm sure you have a lot of questions floating around in your head" Lucas says, taking a seat next to me

"I'm about to fly kick you if you don't tell me what the hell is going on. Your a snitch?! I can't believe this why is everyone betraying me?!" I shout frustratedly, tears start to pool in my eyes but I refuse to let them fall in front of him

"You really think I'd be a rat?" He asks shocked and a little hurt

"Well I mean, you are sitting here, in the place I was kidnapped in talking causally to my kidnapper like you're best friends!" I accuse

"He's my cousin" he tells me

If anything that just makes me more mad.

"Kai is going to kill you" I say

He laughs "Ellie, do you honestly think that Kai isn't behind all this? I mean seriously, come on use your brain. The worse thing that happened is you got knocked out, you haven't been tortured, abused, starved, questioned or killed yet" he says

"Wait what?" I ask shocked "no way, your lying, Caleb said I was leverage" I told him

"He was just trying to scare you, Oscar is in the next room now trying to calm down Kai before he comes and sees you. You really shouldn't have tried to run away from him again, with his baby this time. What is wrong with you, I thought everything was fine?" He asks

I stare at him dumbfounded. Kai was behind all this? How did he even know what I was planning? How did he know where to find me?

"Lily, she-she" I say but don't manage to say anything else due to the shock

"Was in on the whole thing too, she didn't betray you. Well not in a bad way...well not in a way that would hurt you" he tries to reassure me

"She whacked me around the head and knocked me out" I told him

"Well yeah, true"

"So what was the point in all of this? Why fake kidnap me?" I ask

"I don't know, it was Caleb's idea. Kai just went along with it, I guess he wanted to try teach you a lesson or something" he shrugs

"This is so annoying" I groan putting my head in my hands

"Why did you do it?" He asked, he sounded hurt. I felt a little bad but at the same time is was still mad

I sigh "I didn't want my child growing up in the mix of all this, it's dangerous and I don't want my son or daughter to be dragged into it" I told him honestly

"Well then you should have spoke to me about it instead of running away like that" Kai's voice came from the doorway. I looked over to him, he didn't look too angry, if anything he was more hurt

"Well when I saw that child I just assumed that you wouldn't care and that you'd force my child into it. I mean come on that boy was 11 he wasn't even a teenager and you just let him join a Mafia! What did you expect me to do?!" I ask

"Well I would have respected you enough to understand that you don't want our child in danger, but they won't be in danger! I'll protect him or her with my life and I'm so angry at you because you thought I'd let them get into danger" he says, emphasising one the word 'our'

"Well Kai you said you'd protect me and look where that's gotten me! I've been kidnapped more time's than I can count!" I shouted at him. As soon as I said it he looked at me shocked and heartbroken

"That's not my fault I-"

"Had no control over it! Exactly my point! I don't doubt that you'd protect our child, but what happens when your not there?" I ask him

"Exactly, that's my point. You running away wouldn't solve anything! Yous would both lose the protection and anything could happen to either of you!" He shouts

"I don't want my child being part of the mafia Kai, end of" I shout back

"Well tough, it's my child too and you don't get to make all the decisions!" He shouts

"I'm the mum!" I shout angrily that he think he can just control the child's life

"And I'm the dad, what's your point?" He shouts back, his face is red from anger but I'm angry too and this is an argument that he's not going to win

"Guys I think-"

"Shut up!" Kai shouts at Lucas

"Stay out of it!" I shout at the same time

"No, both of you need to calm down!" He shouts

Kai looks at him furiously "did you just fucking command me?" He asks

"Kai with all due respect your my best friend and-"

"And your fucking boss so don't overstep your boundaries!" Kai growls out

"I know that! But you two shouting back and forth to each other isn't going to solve anything and in fact it will just cause unwanted stress to Ellie and BOTH of yours child"

Kai clams down a bit hearing his argument and looks at me

"We will discuss this when we're home" he says, leaving no room for discussion. But before he could walk away I say -

"I'm not going back there Kai, I won't put my child in danger like that" I tell him

"Look at yourself and where you are right now Ellie, your lucky it was me that was behind this and not one of my many enemies that probably would have used you to get to me and then killed you and our child. Please just stop arguing with me about this, cause your not going to win. Both you and the child are coming home, where you'll both be safe!" He says

"So what your just gonna keep us locked up for the rest of our life's?" I ask

"What? No! I didn't even say that" Kai says frustratedly

"You may as well have!" I shout

"I'm not doing this again, we will talk later" he says before storming away

I scream loudly in frustration making Lucas cover his ears.

"I'm so fucking done with you people" I say bursting out crying

Lucas looks at me with sadness in his eyes. "You don't mean that" he says

I glare at him and walk away
