Establishing Formalities

A/N: there is some swearing here and this part is all exposition but reveals
Y/N's backstory.

-9:00 P.M.‐

It's getting pretty late so Itchiko and I are getting ready for tomorrow but...

Y/N: "Uh, Itchiko, Can you not."

Itchiko: "But I don't have any clothes to sleep in."

Y/N: "Well, just borrow one of my shirts and a pair of shorts."

-5:00 A.M.-

Y/N: "Itchiko, wake up its 5:00 in the morning."

Itchiko: (mumbling)"too... early..."

Y/N: "My apartment, my rules, c'mon and get up already."

She is not budging.

Y/N: "I can always have you move back to your pest-ridden dorm and out of my safe, pest-free apartment and soft pull-out couch."

Itchiko: "Fine, I'll get up."

Y/N: "Next time it will be 4:00."

Itchiko: "Bu-"

Y/N: "Nope. Not hearing it. Go to bed early from now on. I'll make a pot of coffee."

Itchiko: (incoherent mumbling)

-8:00 A.M.-

Even though its Monday, since there was a match yesterday the Sensha-do team members get a day off. But I still freaked out a little when I had a knock at my door.

*knocking at the door*

Y/N: "Coming."

I open the door and Claes is there.

Y/N: "Good morning Claes."

Claes: "Good morning to you Commander."

Y/N: "Nope, Right now I'm Y/N, not Commander."

Itchiko comes to see what's going on, still wearing the clothes I let her borrow.

Claes notices what Itchiko is wearing.

Claes: "Well you work fast Y/N."

Y/N: "This is nothing like what your thinking."

Itchiko: "Shut up Claes!"

Claes: "Well you're due to the Tea Garden at 11:00."

Itchiko: "Wow Y/N that's a big honor!"

Y/N: "Okay... Well it sounds important."

-9:00 A.M.-

I took Itchiko to the hangars so I could ask her to do me a favor.

Y/N: "I assume you're wondering what we're doing here."

Itchiko: "Yeah, there's no school today."

Y/N: "Well there's a project I want to work on. Since we have to wear actual flight suits and all planes have recovery equipment, one could assume planes can make 'enhanced' manuvers."

I really put emphasis on enhanced.

Itchiko: "But isn't that ag-"

Y/N: "Not technically"

Using parts and equipment not sanctioned is illegal, not modifying existing parts.

Itchiko: "Well then what are we doing?"

Y/N: "Were going to 'modify' the actuators on an unused Hawker Tempest for control surfaces to have a higher deflection, and tail surfaces to control roll along pitch. For better manuvers and alter the Center of Mass for less stability, and ease of departure from stable flight. And just for measure add smoke pods to document manuvers easier."
