Chapter 5

After Herain answered the call, she had a worried look on her face as she stood up from her chair

"I'll have to excuse myself first, something urgent came up" she said as she face him

Seeing her anxious eyes that seems like tears are about to flow out, Rhaveir also stood up and walked in front of her

"I'll drive you there, where to?" he stated

"At the hospital where my grandfather is at" she replied

They both walked out of the building, waiting outside is his car and chauffeur

He went up to his chauffeur and casually took the car key

"I'll drive the car, you can now go" he said to his chauffer

In the middle of the night, the two of them were alone as he accelerated the car making it travel in an enormous speed thus Herain arrived at the hospital faster than expected

Herain unbuckled her seatbelt and turn to face Rhaveir

"Thank you" she stated with sincerity

As she got out of the car she immediately made a dash inside

Rhaveir fixed his gaze on the back of the girl hastily running inside

As her back disappeared, he grabbed his phone and made a call

"Check the accounts and properties of Cory and Lucy Vergara and send it immediately" he coldly stated

He ended the call and glance at the building one last time before driving out of sight

Inside the elevator, Herain was anxiously thinking about what her nanny said on the phone

'Miss, you have to come at the hospital right now something bad happened to your grandfather' her nanny stated while profusely sobbing

She wanted to think of the least possible thing that might happen but her mind was already in a mess

Even though she wasn't able to spend a lot of time with him, the memory of the previous owner of her body is excruciatingly crushing her heart

Her grandfather was the only one who truly loved her, who guided and raised her wholeheartedly since she has no parents

As the elevator opens, she immediately dashed to her grandfather's room

The moment she opened the room, what greeted her eyes was her pale grandfather on the bed,

No longer breathing, showing no signs of life

She rushed to his side and shakingly held his hand

"Grandfather, you were healthy just before I left" she uttered

Tears uncontrollably falls in her eyes as she clasped her chest tightly

That night she cried her heart out and slept as she got tired from weeping

In the morning, she returned home after waking up on her grandfather's bedside

As she arrived in the Vergara mansion her nanny immediately run up to her before she could even open the door

"Miss, you have been restricted by the madam to enter" her nanny worriedly informed her

Herain barged inside and found the mother and daughter pair having breakfast on the table

They were smiling as they happily ate their breakfast

If it was the past Herain she would have already flipped the table and cursed them by now

Hearing someone entering, the both of them looked at Herain's direction

"Why are you still here?" her step sister asked in surprise

Herain ignored her and coldly gaze at her aunt "Who gave you the right to drive me out at my own house?"

Lucy (Cory's mother) looked at her disdainfully as she said "This house was given to us by your grandfather and everything the Vergara owns"

"Is that so?" Herain responded with a sneer

Just then, his grandfather's secretary suddenly showed up with a plate of fruits on his hand

Herain had a hunch of the situation and faced the secretary

"Secretary Rue, care to explain yourself" she stated as she crossed her arms

The secretary gently placed the tray of fruits at the table and met the girl's unwavering gaze

"Your grandfather has given all the Vergara properties to your aunt and step sister since they have contributed a lot to the company, his decisions are plausible" the secretary stated as a matter of fact

"Moreover, you have never experienced working and is currently attending school thus your elder step sister who have already worked there is the rightful owner of Dazzle Entertainment" he added

"Grandfather wholeheartedly trusted you and this is how you repay him" she exclaimed

Herain sneered and glanced at the both mother and daughter pair

"Grandfather is a very conservative person, he wouldn't want to give what he own to outsiders, wouldn't he?" she mockingly asked

Cory, her step sister slammed her spoon at the table and sent a glare at Herain

"What do you mean by that?!" she angrily asked

Herain hit the spot, she knows best what ticks off her step sister

Herain grinned and stride upstairs

"Where are you heading?, you are not allowed to stay in here any longer!" her aunt commanded her as she hastily stood up from her chair

"I'm just gonna wash myself up, I'll gladly leave this house after I'm done" Herain calmly stated

"After all, I don't have the audacity to live with shameless people" she added as she walked upstairs to her room

The mother and daughter pair was left fuming with anger in the kitchen

"I really want to strangle that girl" Lucy stated as she grumpily sat back on her chair

"Don't worry mother for she will suffer from now on, she has nothing left on her, she won't be a bother to us now" Cory proudly replied

As Herain entered her room, she was satisfied that everything was still in the right place

"It's a good thing I locked the room" she mumbled as she stride towards her bathroom

She soaked herself in the bathtub and cleanse herself as she tries to figure her next step

'There is no place I can go if I leave now however I am no longer allowed to stay here, where should I go?' she thought to herself

Just then, her stomach suddenly grumbles

"I'll have to think about it later after I eat some food out" she grumbled to herself

Herain packed all her useful belongings in two suitcases and left in her room the things she didn't like nor need

She left the house afterwards bringing with her the luggages she carried as she rode the taxi with no particular destination in mind

She gaze outside the window of the car

"It's snowing prettily" she muttered as she admired the fluttering white

"Miss, where are you headed to?" the driver asked

"Just take me to a convenience store nearby" she replied

"Miss, you are very pretty" the driver said with a smile

"Thank you" she responded with a smile of her own
