Dr. Montgomery and I have just finished our surgery on a pregnant woman
"Wow. I've never seen a spleen rupture on a baby. I feel so bad for him. And the mom," I say after the surgery
"I am just really happy that they survived without any more serious injuries," Addison answers
"That was a great surgery. Thank you, Addison,"
I say with a smile
"For what?" Addison looks confused
"For letting me scrub in."
"Of course Dr. Grey. Or can I say Meredith?"
"Yes, you can," I say while laughing
"Well good then," Addison says, smiles and softly touches my arm
For a minute my entire world stops. I was scared, confused but happy. Why did I feel like this? My ex boyfriend's ex wife is giving me chills?
"Wanna go grab a drink?" Addison asks
"I really wanna come but I have to get some sleep for few hours. I'm on call tonight," I answer with obvious disappointment in my voice
"Oh, okay. You better get some sleep. I'll see you tomorrow?" Addison says
"I'll see you tomorrow," I say and give her the warmest smile I can
I walk to the on call room and fall down to the bed. I was so tired, but I was also happy. Do I have a crush on Addison Forbes Montgomery? I really hope not.
