Hello Wattpadians! It's been a while since I posted the last chapter about my new Betta fish! Welp, I'm back with more news of how she is doing, and ART!!!!

(Skip this next part if you want, it's basically just me gushing over my new fish lol)

How is she doing, you may ask? "Pfft, Skyfire, we don't care about about your dumb fish, show us the art already!" I don't care, I'm telling you anyways. She has settled in nicely, and OML she is so beautiful!! I love how fish, especially bettas are so colorful and she seems to be a different color depending on the angle you look at her and the lighting.

When it's dark and I don't have her light on, she actually looks black, which y'all know is my favorite color XD But when the light is on, she is this gorgeous shimmery sky blue color. At a different angle, she looks like a deeper, ocean blue. And at a different different angle, she looks greenish-blue, or teal, hence the name. Her shiny little scales are so iridescent ^-^

And oh, yeah, in case I forgot to tell you, I decided to name her Teal. Cute, huh? I think it suits her so well 🤩

She loves just swimming around near the front of her tank, showing off her lovely colors. I noticed her favorite spot to go is near the back of the tank, under the filter whenever she's not showing off. I think I'm going to try to teach her tricks (and yes, you CAN teach a Betta tricks!! Look it up!).

I put her fish food next to her tank, and feed her in the mornings and evenings, so she has a cute habit of swimming really close to her food at the edge of the tank around those times :3

I'm also really curious as to exactly how old she is, and looked online everywhere to find how to tell a betta's age, to no success. I did find that Petsmart bettas (that's where I got her) are usually between 4-12 months of age, and also a full grown adult is roughly two inches long. When I first got her and measured, she was about one inch long, from nose to tail tip, so she's obviously not full grown yet. Haaaaalllppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I can't find anything else ;-;

Anyways, here is a pic of her in her new home!

Sorry the photos are so crappy, the reflection of the glass certainly didn't help

She seemed pretty interested in my camera, and went straight to to glass when I held my phone up. Also, that pink-rimmed thing you see in the background is a mirror; I put it in front of her tank to see what her reaction would be. I honestly thought she'd ignore it, since she sees her reflection in the glass of the tank all the time, right? But no, she was very interested in it. She kept swimming around it, and wouldn't leave it the first ten+ minutes I put it there.

Just ignore the stuff you see in the background—

AAAAAAAH SHE'S SO PRETTY I THINK I MIGHT DIE OF HAPPINESS

Anyways, on to the art! I roughly sketched her a bit, then drew her as a dragon (SeaWing, of course!) and I'm honestly pretty proud of it. This is the first time I've drawn a dragon from the front, not counting my project for studio class from a few chapters back.

Pfft ignore the awful quality

Pfft ignore the awful quality...

It then inspired me to draw another dragon front-view:
