Memories in the Roads: Prologue

"Ryu, kailan ang road trip?" Gabriel, one of my classmates asked while I am organizing my things.

"Ha? I don't know. You should ask, Isaah.

I am now on my last week in eight grade and I can say that I enjoyed my journey and I've learned a lot in this school year not because I need to learn, it's because I want to learn. I want to thrive, not just to survive.

That is me.

I know I am too young but I know the definition of hardworks and competence and I want to apply it in every step of my life. I rely on myself, I don't want to be a burden to everyone. And there's a one word that I would like to achieve someday...

Success.

"Next week, will be your final exams and then finally, your vacation!" our teacher announced before she left our classroom.

I am not that hyper or chaotic, that's not my personality. I just want people to give me a privacy and I want them to respect my silence or else, I would throw a fit to them.

Don't me. I don't give a shit. As I always saying.

I sighed and I surveyed our classroom.

"No..."

"Then, why are you looking around?" he added.

I just flash a smile to him then I tapped his shoulder before I left him.

I was looking around in our classroom because I want the memories to flowed on my mind. A memories that we made in every corner of that air-condition room. I don't know the specific reason but I love saving memories.

We all have memories and we keep it. But some memories are meant to be forgotten like a tragic, sorrow, grief, trauma, and horrible memories.

And we keep all the good memories because it makes us happy. When you're down, you just need to reminisce happy memories and everything will be light and alright.

"Ryu!" our driver waved at me.

"Where are we going, Kuya?" I asked when I noticed the he's going to a wrong way.
