he also has some issues he won't tell his parents about,he has depression and feels horrible always on the inside like he feels useless and weak,he cries a lot at night from those thoughts and he always puts on a fake smile to hide it all,
even steeljaw has told him no one cares if he dies or leaves.this made it worse on him and wonders if everyone at the base wouldn't really care.
