chapter 1

3 YEARS AGO

Y/N POV
- "i'm sorry" anna whispers with tears in her eyes as she walks past me
- "anna pls don't do this!" i say as i grab onto her wrist crying refusing for her to go
- "we.... we can work this out please"
- her back was towards me and all i can see is her take a deep breath and pull her hand away from my grasp
- "pl-please" i said with my voice cracking trying to hold back my river of tears
- she just stood there for a second. i wanted her to turn around so badly but she didn't. i needed her i couldn't let her go and leave me forever so i hugged her from behind. my arms wrapped around her waist as i let all my tears out onto her back.
- i hear her crying as she tried to pry me off. i hold on as tight as i could but she broke free. she runs to her car immediately turning on the ignition and driving off
- at that moment i felt a sharp pain in my heart i couldn't believe it... she actually left
- i dropped to the floor crying my eyes out and to make matters worse it started raining
- at this point i couldn't feel anything. i couldn't tell the difference between my tears and the raindrops on the floor. in that moment i was numb.

THE NEXT DAY...

Y/N POV
- i woke up all drowsy bc i couldn't get an ounce of sleep last night. i still couldn't figure out why she did the things she did after everything we've been thru. i needed answers but i knew the only one who can give them to me was leaving me forever for LA today.
- i understood and supported her going to LA to pursue her role as an influencer but after all those years we spent together she rlly thought long distance would tear us apart??? i can't wrap my head around it
- i spent most of the day scrolling thru depressing tik toks
- "wow so the fbi in my phone is tryna make me feel even more depressed than i already am" i said shaking my head and turning off my phone in disappointment
- i couldn't get anna out my mind it was driving me crazy
- "fuck this i need my answers, i deserve that much after the years we've been together" i exclaimed as i took my keys and started to drive to the airport hoping i'll catch her before her flight
- the days been gloomy and it's been pouring ever since yesterday how ironic having weather to match my mood
- as i got closer and closer to the airport i imagined seeing her cute face with those beautiful diamond eyes staring at me. i missed her so much.... i quickly shook the image out of my head
- "no y/n you're mad at her. why would she do this to you"
- "ugh i have a headache" i said as massaged my temple with my left hand
- my rage built up there were so many unanswered questions that i started to cry again. my sight was getting blurry and i started steering right unconsciously and almost hit the car next to me
- beeeeeppppp "omg omgg omg" i had a mini heart attack as i quickly veered left
- "that was close"

ANNA POV
- "i screwed up, i shldnt have just left her there" i thought as i sat waiting for my flight to board
- "maybe i shld call her, talk this out, i can't leave her like this"
- i pulled out my phone
- *calling bebe ❤️ ...*

Y/N POV
- my phone started to ring i looked at my phone which i threw on the passenger seat... it was anna... i was in shock to see her name i went to grab my phone. it was beyond my reach but i needed to answer it so i pushed against the wheel with my left hand and finally got it then my hand slipped causing for the whole car to take a sharp right turn
- *beeeeeepppp* boom 💥

ANNA POV
- * it goes to voicemail after ringing twice*
- "hey it's y/n sorry i can't come to the phone right now i'm either sleeping or hanging with my bebe right now *giggles*
- "haha ayo is that actually gonna be it?"
- "yupp oh shoot it's still rolling umm but i'll call u later leave a message at the beep" *voicemail ends*

- "damn i forgot all abt that. she's probably gonna change that now" i sigh as the memories come flooding back
- i quickly came back to reality when a woman over the speaker announced *flight 302 for los angeles, california is now boarding*
- "she didn't answer... maybe it's better off this way i wouldn't be able to say bye again. i have to let her go. for her own good" i picked up my bags and boarded the flight

PRESENT DAY

ANNA POV
- "what a beautiful day" i said while inhaling the salty ocean breeze that brushed against my face
- i was taking pluto for a walk around the pier. he was so cute hopping around everywhere getting extra excited at all the seagulls
- we sat on this bench on the pier that overlooked the whole beach it was breathtaking i needed to take a picture
- "say cheeeesseee pluto!" i said while scrunching my nose
- i checked to see how the pic came out but the sun was so bright i had to cup my phone into my hands to see it clearly after i saw it i looked up "ayo u actually looked at the camera haha"
-  i turned to show him aaaannnddd he wasn't there...
- "bruhhhhh pluto? pluto? plutoooo?!? where are u boy?" i shouted while frantically looking for him among the crowd
- my heart was beating so fast where did he gooo?!

Y/N POV
- "wow my first day in LA and i'm greeted with such a view" the beach was amazing here in LA out of all the things i looked forward to in the west coast beaches were top on my list
- i was just abt to snapchat my bestie and show her how beautiful this place is but i was approached by this cutest little husky literal oceanic blue eyed. as i crouched down he instantly started licking me
- "awww hey buddy ! what's ur name?" i asked as i checked his collar
- "pluto huh? what a cute nameee ! hi pluto where's ur owners buddy?" i said enthusiastically while scratching behind his ears
- after i finished enjoying his cute little playful spirit i stood up slowly to set out and find his owners but as i did there was this girl standing right in front of me already. we locked eyes as i stood upright...

ANNA POV
- looking for a good 5 mins there was still no sign of him until i moved a little further down the pier and saw him laying on his back receiving belly rubs from a girl
- i approached them in relief "omg u found himmm! thank you so mu-"
- the girl stood up and we locked eyes... it was y/n
