"Why did you leave us...?"

"If you'd just let them take you, then they never would've done it, Nari!"

"It's your fault!!"

"We died because you RAN!"

"You can't hide forever!! Face the truth! You're a coward!!"

"Why didn't you give me the Medallion sooner? Just because you wanted to see me...so selfish."

Nari awoke with a start, gasping sharply and bolting upright. Someone was knocking on the door, hard.

"I-I'm coming!"She exclaimed, jumping up from her bed and realizing that she hadn't even changed out of her clothes last night. Frowning to herself, she took a deep breath and walked to the door.

Opening the door, she was greeted by a group of armed guards. They must've recognized her alarmed and confused expression, one of them speaking up. "We've received orders to search your room. Move aside."

Quickly stepping aside, Nari pulled her hands anxiously to her chest while she watched them begin practically turning her room inside out. What's going on? Why would someone order them to search my room?

Then, he walked in.

"A-Advisor Hye..."Nari stammered, feeling fear once again overtake her when he slowly walked towards her, backing her against a dresser.

The Advisor's expression was still as proud as ever. "You're caught, my dear. I know what you stole... naughty girl. Normally I'd like that in a lady, but you dared to refuse me."He said, leaning closer until their faces were only inches apart. "Now, you'll pay."

"You'll pay."

"Burn it all down!!"

"Find that wench!"

Standing back up again, Advisor Hye announced loudly. "This woman is guilty of theft; she's stolen his majesty's precious Medallion! Leave no place unsearched, destroy the very room if you must! We must retrieve what she's stolen!"

Then, he turned his gaze back to the petrified Nari. "You should simply make this easier on yourself and give up the treasure's location..."He grinned with satisfaction at her expression. "Better yet, you should've done as you were told."He mused quietly.

"If you even try to escape... they'll suffer."

"Just lay there and do as your told."

"That's right! Cry! Scream! It won't help you!"

All the while, outside in the hallway, several other servants had poked their heads out of their rooms to see what all of the fuss was about this early in the morning. However, at the sound of the Advisor's voice, most slammed their doors shut again in fear.

Unable to think straight or even form words, Nari could only shake her head at the Advisor and slowly slid down against the wall.

"It's all your fault."

"Sir, we cannot find the medallion, but we did find this."One of the guards said, holding out a wrapped dagger to the Advisor, who then chortled to himself. "An unusual dagger."

Nari's eyes widened at the mention of the weapon, head whipping up to the pair. Th-They... found... oh no...

"I see good work."Advisor Hye said, looking back at Nari. "Arrest her, not just for theft... but for planning to assassinate his majesty: King Hiryuu."
