Chapter 11- Date With Keefe

"Should I wear this one or this?" Sophie asked Vertina. She was getting ready for a moonlight dinner with Keefe, under Calla's Tree. He had asked her a month after the incident. "Definitely the red one! It's your color!" Vertina squealed. "I'm so glad you figured things out with your boys!" 

"How do I put my hair?" Sophie asked her. She needed to look perfect for her boyfriend! Yes, he was her boyfriend now! "Put it up like a messy bun!" Vertina said. "Ok!" Sophie said. Finally, the shoes. "Gold shoes only!" Vertina instructed. "Ok.. Thanks Vertina!" Sophie said, and went to get changed.

"You look stunning! Now go have fun with your boy!" Vertina complimented her. "You look as stunning as Jolie on her first date with Brant!" Sophie scowled at Brant's name. "I almost forgot! Your makeup!" Vertine squealed. 

Makeup: 

Sophie was finally done! She made her way downstairs. "Aww.. you're growing up so soon!" Edaline exclaimed. "Mom!" Sophie complained. "Please, while he's here, no sappy smiles or wiggling eyebrows. Also, keep Grady way!" 

"Okay! I'll try my best!" Edaline sighed. "Here's the picnic basket! It has loads of mallowmelt! Keefe said he'd bring the rest." "Aww.. how sweet of him. Speaking of him, I'm late for our date! Bye!" Sophie ran with the basket. "Hey gorgeous!" Keefe hugged her. They sat down on the mat. "Edaline said that you got dinner." Sophie asked. "Here it is." Keefe uncovered a basket. There were fries, burgers, pizzas and ice cream. "Oh my goodness! How'd you get them?" Sophie was amazed. 

"I convinced Mr. Forkle to ask the councilors. They said yes." Keefe explained. "I thought you'd like to have food from the forbidden cities." "Aww. That's so sweet of you.. Thank you. I missed this stuff." Sophie hugged Keefe. "Why so much though? It's only two of us!" 

"Biana asked me to bring some for her too." Keefe explained. They had their scrumptious feast. "Foster, I have another surprise for you. Close your eyes." Keefe instructed. Sophie followed. He led her through a path. Suddenly, Sophie felt herself wet. Keefe had thrown her in the lake! "Keefe Whatever your middle name is Sencen! How dare you!" Sophie shouted. She pushed him inside the lake and rustled his hair. "I'll get you back for that!" Keefe cried. "We'll see about that!" Sophie teased. It had been a great day.
