Enju POV

My mind is still filled with questions, and my heart with regrets and sadness.

I ponder about what to do within those two weeks.

I want to know more about my mother.

I want to ask Zina, however, she is currently in Tokyo, secretly preparing a weapon to be used against Kakurasu.

From what I've heard, she has been working on that for a year now. Right after the MEA incident, she immediately returned to Tokyo, taking Cy with her.

That leaves the executives.

However, I don't want to bother them. Every single one of them is busy helping to track down Kakurasu.

With those in mind, I walked down the road, making my way toward a nearby cafe to clear my head.

The video clip that was shown... Was that really my Mother?

Ever since I was little, I only knew little things about her.

My grandfather told me that she left the world.

I've always wanted to hear why.

Why did she leave me?

Why wasn't she here?

I wanted to feel the love of a family.

Yet, Zina implied that she has always been there, alive and well.

It's been so hard, not knowing what to believe.

For years, I've been left wondering.

And now that I've seen her alive, even in just a video, Kakurasu would take her away from me.

I wanted to meet her.

I really want to.

With those thoughts filling my head, I mindlessly walked inside the cafe and placed my usual order.

Then, I went to the rooftop section of the cafe to get some fresh air.

My mind really is bothered...

And carelessly as I walked blindly, with my thoughts shuffled, I bumped into someone.

Enju: O-Oh, uhm. I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to.

I promptly apologized, embarrassed.

"It's fine, please take care- oh, aren't you...?"

I looked at her and noticed that she was,

"If it isn't Enju-Dono, how are you?"

It was Kazamatsuri-San in her casual get-up.

Enju: Kazamatsuri-san, fancy seeing you here.

Oka: You too, Enju-dono. What brings you here?

Enju: I need to clear some thoughts, that's all.

Oka: Is that so? Well, if you don't mind, I could join you. I still have some unfinished tasks, and would certainly appreciate some company.

Enju: Is that so? Sure, I won't mind.

This could be a great opportunity to ask about my mother.

We sat at the table at the corner of the outdoor cafe.

She then brought out a black laptop.

Enju: How is MEA, Kazamatsuri-san?

Oka: Busier than ever, unfortunately. Due to the urgency to find the Kakurasu Base, I've never slept a single wink these past few days.
