"baby?" he mumbled. 

"hm? sorry, i just wanted to feel you." noen said, waking.

"that's okay my love. goodnight." chase smiled. taking noens hand.

"goodnight baby. i love you." noen said. 

"i-" chase started, before the boat shook roughly. 

"-AM GOING TO DIE!!!"
you could hear noah screaming from his room.

noen and chase quickly got up, heading into the hallway. 

"what's happening?" noen asked, staying close to chase. 

"we're gonna die, that's what's happening!" noah said, squeezing dixie's hand. 

dixie winced in pain before speaking.
"noah. i need that." she said, pointing to her hand. 

"sorry.." noah said, easing his grip. 

"anyway. what's going on?" larray asked. 

the little old man who owned the boat turned to up with a smile.
"we seem to have come across the high reefs. we scraped the top and are a little stuck. but don't worry, i'll turn off the boat and back out in the direction the wind it going before we head off again. we'll be on our way again in an hour!" 

ellie sighed in relief.
"good. i cannot die like this."

"on a boat?"
dixie asked. 

"away from home?"
larray asked. 

"stranded in the middle of the ocean after spending several days in the amazon rain forest, where we almost got murdered, eaten and found a puppy?"
noah said, pointing mouse who had just stepped out of noen and chase's room. 

"no, single. i can't die single."
ellie said. 

chase rolled his eyes.
"really?"

"yes! someone has to mourn over me. and i know you're not gonna do it, you'll be dead too."
she said. 

chase chuckled and smile.
"fair enough."

they all headed back to their rooms, however they didn't all go back to sleep.
