Chapter 8 : The Tale Of A Lonely Boy

The class was bustling with people talking and chatting when nishikata entered the class with Mogami.. Everyone went quiet...

Mogami : ( everyone was giving him funny looks some were afraid some were amused as they thought they had found a prime target for bullying and all of this was starting to get to him) 

Nishikata : just ignore these people ok

Mogami : I can try.... Well I would but not when everyone looks at me as if I'm a neon sign with legs... 

Random girl : ( she whispered to her friend) is that.... 

Friend : yes it is.... The freak... 

Random girl : ( she shivered as she like many people had fallen victim to the rumors and assumed everything about Mogami...) 

Mogami : let's face it these shits don't care if the rumor is true or not.... 

Sumire : ( she realised just now.. He was completely ostracized from the student body.... Like a bad apple....) hey Mogami where's your seat? ( I know I'm not the angel among humans but I know for a fact that I'm better than these shitbags) 

Everyone was simply shocked that Sumire interacted with him and treated him like a normal person 

Random guy : don't you know who that it takagawa-san?! 

Sumire : and? 

Mogami : ...... 

Random boy : and what? 

Sumire : I'm not about to treat him like shit just because of some unverified rumors

Random guy : ...... 

Takagi : what's your roll number? 

Mogami : 42 

Nishikata : you're sitting right behind me 

Mogami found his seat which was in the corner beside the window and he was behind nishikata and takagi with sumire beside him 

Mogami : thanks for that takagawa... 

Sumire : don't thank me for acting like a decent human being... Plus I'm annoying right?

Mogami : ( he let out a chuckle) annoying indeed but still thanks

Nishikata : don't let their words get to you man 

Mogami : I'm too big of a chump to actually understand their words... ( he laughed) 

Sumire : it's unsettling... 

Takagi : what's unsettling? 

Sumire : well he always make fun of himself... Like all his jokes make fun of himself...  

Mogami : .... 

Sumire : everyone here makes fun of you, but I noticed... You degrade yourself more than others do... 

Nishikata : it's called low self confidence... I'd know.... 

Mogami : I understand where you're coming for but there's a reason why I do it... 

Sumire : which is? 

Mogami : it actually goes way back... to when I was born 

Sumire : is it a tragic back story?

Mogami took a moment to collect his thoughts but the teacher started teaching so he told them after school
