Chapter 15.
Marielle's perspective

It was an exciting next few weeks, after the night of the party I had sent a letter to my parents explaining to them the situation asking if Kai could come to Spain with us, of course they had said yes as the lovely generous people they are would never turn down an opportunity to care for a person in need of help.
Kai had insisted of me teaching him the language, so every spare second that we had other than studying for the OWLS would be spent learning Spanish which surprisingly he was extremely fast at learning and could keep a steady conversation going in Spanish with me.
The OWLS was tomorrow, everyone was stressed, cramming in pages and pages of words into their brains.
"I feel sick" Amari clenched his stomach the fireplace illuminating the sickly look on his face
"you'll be fine" Kai ruffled his hair in support
"you didn't stop studying all night if you don't get a high mark no one will" Theo flipped through the pages of his book
"you will do great" I smiled warmly, his face becoming more at ease
We continued mindless study banter as the sounds of heavy rain echoed through the empty Gryffindor common room.
"wow its pouring" Elijah peered through the red tinted window
"its too dark outside I can't see a thing" Theo retorted squinting his eyes
"that's probably because it's 11 at night" I smiled mischievously
"oi spicy badgers back" Elijah's loud belly laugh rang out whilst giving me a high five
"hey, I have an idea" Kai beamed cheekily, causing Elijah to stop laughing and sit back down in interest
"I know what your thinking and absolutely not" Theo put a deadpan face on continuing to flip the pages of his astrology book
"aw but it will be funnn" he got into a begging position in front of Theo
"what will be fun" Amari asked now inquisitive on what was happening
"rain run" Kai grinned
"you might catch colds though" I stated concerned as stupid ideas were kai's specialty
"rain runnnnn!" Elijah boomed followed by multiple hushes from everyone
"rai runnn" he whispered this time obviously directed at Theo who was now looking up from his book
"fine" he rolled his eyes and got up from his chair plopping the book down on top on the fireplace mantle
"rain run it is" Theo strode out the common room door followed by and excited Elijah and hesitant Amari
"are you coming fairy?" Kai asked reaching out a hand, I grabbed it the feeling of my hand in his sending warmth throughout my body
"I think I might sit this one out" I smiled warmly
"aw but make sure you sleep alright then ok, big day tomorrow" he pulled me into a soft hug
"you four better not catch colds" I lectured as I walked out the door towards the Hufflepuff common rooms, careful to not run into any professors on patrol

Time skips to the next morning.

All four boys caught colds.
"now who was it that said this would happen" I scowled crossing my arms staring at the four sniffling boys.
"you did" they all groaned.
"well, it was fun" kai smiled nonchalantly.
"fun for you, I'm going to miss the OWLs" Amari whimpered, I scuffled over to his bedside pouring some tea into a mug.
"lucky for you I have just the thing" I gleamed handing him the porcelain mug.
With this he sat up and drank the liquid with one gulp
"incredible" he whispered, "I feel better already!" he was now smiling the toothy Amari smile.
"oi Marie can I get some of that" Elijah hollered from the bed next over, the other boys sniffled in agreement.
"wait your turns" I smiled.
"your right to go, ill meet you at the exam" I told Amari who was already half the way out the door.
Next was Elijah and Theo, Elijah being very reckless and spilling his tea everywhere but, in his mouth, and Theo being extremely careful and drinking sip by sip. Once both boys were out the door, I made my way over to kai.
"seems I'm lucky last" he grinned, I had to suppress a smile.
"or just last doesn't seem very lucky to get a cold the day of OWLs" I replied pouring the tea.
"well, I still think I'm lucky I mean I'm being treated by the greatest healer of all time" he cooed, I passed him the tea before he could say anymore.

"wow it really does work wonders" he said in awe.
"you really must be going; the OWLs are going to start any minute now" I smiled happy to see him back to his normal self.
"thanks fairy, you really are the best" he scooped me up into a gentle hug.
"yeah, yeah elf boy, I love you too" the words slipped out, too fast too naturally.
He stiffened staring right at me, I now wished more than ever the ground would open and swallow me whole.
"ah- um i-im sorry" I mumbled as the heat rose to my face.
There was just silence, 'oh god I've messed it up haven't I, why would you say that" panic racing around my head.
"Kai, i-im so sorry u-um I really understand if you don-" My words were cut off as he gently held my chin and tilted my face up to his
"I love you more" and in an instant his lips were on mine, and as the world melted around me, I finally understood every fairytale written, why love is the most precious thing and how lonely I had been without it. Yes, I do believe this golden boy made of sunrays is my forever.

                                                       -the end-

End note: I Apologize for the sort of abrupt ending; I just have no inspiration at all with this book anymore. Also, I started this around a year ago and my writing style has changed quite drastically. Hopefully, I will be putting other stories up here though. Thank you for all the support and encouragement though <3 it has been very much appreciated! For those wondering what happens after pretty much Marie and Kai go to Spain and have a great time then after they graduate live together opposite a beach with all the boys and kids and such (there is an Instagram au I made).
Thanks again and I hope you all have a very happy day.
