"What happened next?" Damien asked.

"Next? Next our sister came back." Bailey replied.

"Hello?" Linda answered her phone call. Things had been going well recently. Rose's performance at the time of divorce was very satisfying. Linda was happy after a very long time.

Finally. Finally her sister was back.

That was why the phone call that day brought her a huge shock.

"Linda, that bastard is going to look for Rose with a few of his friends. He wants to 'settle some scores'." Bailey replied.

"What?" Linda asked sharply.

"Meet me at me at the restaurant Rose is recently renovating. The bastard left a few minutes ago. He'll reach there in half an hour or so." Bailey replied.

"Meet me there in 30 minutes." Linda ordered.

"It's alright with me but it takes 45 minutes to reach that place from your house. That too when there is no traffic." Bailey asked.

"And?" Linda asked in a board tone.

Bailey chuckled in reply. "I forgot I'm talking to a person who got jailed three times for illegal car racing. That too with a few shady people. See you in 30 minutes sis." Bailey kept the phone.

That day, even Linda didn't know how no police vehicle stopped her given the rash way she drove. All the cars behind were left either honking or barely managed to save itself from an accident. But she got there within 30 minutes.

But they were still late. By the time they reached, they saw that asshole slapping their sister. The two Brown sisters felt their blood boil in this instance. Rose was the weak one between them. But heavens knew how many were left barely alive after having slightest problem with the other two sisters. And this dead person dared to hurt their sister. He was really as good as dead. They were planning on how to torture so that he could get the worst death possible as they rushed towards the bastard.

Both Bailey and Linda were trained in different forms of fighting. Forget Jace, even if all his friends present attacked, they were sure they could take them on.

But before they could do anything, some did the beating up part for them. Their rushing in movement stopped suddenly and they were frozen on spot as they watched Rose beat the daylights out of Jace.

After a moment of surprise, amusement filled the two sisters as they watched Rose going all gangster on that worthless scum. Any man who hits a woman were worthless scum. Not that any Brown family female was a your typical helpless woman.

This is our sister after all. The other two sisters mused as they watched from sidelines as the worthless scum screamed in agony. What was even better was the friends he brought along was hooting and cheering Rose as she beat him black blue instead of helping him.

After the show was over and Jace was thrown out by security, they happily left to their own homes, deeply satisfied of their sister's performance. She was finally walking out of the shadows from all those years back.

~Now~

"Can I ask something though?" Damien asked.

"Except why we aren't allowing Rose to come too close to us, you can ask anything." Linda replied.

"Why is your father angry with Rose? It's like he has this grudge against her that is completely irrational. Why is that? Does that too has to do with that secret of yours? Does Mr Brown blame Rose for what happened? Did-" Damien asked but was cut off by a furious shout.

"Shut up." Bailey said. Her calm, jovial and mischievous counterance changing into ferociousness instantly. It was like a switch a suddenly pressed and the two sisters looked at him with some inexplicable anger.

"What nonsense are you talking about about. No one in our family blames Rose for anything. She was but a kid then. You should think about what you say before you say it." Linda scolded Damien without a care of their relationship.

"Really? Strange. My observations have been spot on until now. For example, I clearly observed that your father and brother has this intense sense of guilt towards the two of you. That no matter what you do, they don't say anything. I also observed that no matter what you do, your mother forgives you for it. Like for some inexplicable reason, it was her who should understand. I even observed your love for your sister even though you kept it well hidden. I don't how I made a mistake now. I mean, I clearly felt it even when I talked to your father. But since you guys are so sure I'll-" Damien was cut off again.

"Shut up." Bailey said boiling with rage. "Come with me." She said through gritted teeth as she took Damien along with Linda to have a word with her father.

It was alright that they never looked into her eyes ever. She could live through it. It was alright if their father became such a coward. Even if it almost killed them, they could live with it. After all, even if what happened happened with her, the entire family was affected with the worst way possible. It would be foolish on her part if she wanted everything to be like a normal family with them.

But if their father dared to pin the slightest bit of blame on Rose.... Bailey herself shuddered with how violent her thoughts became.

Even after what happened. Even after being corrupted to the core. Even after burning with rage, hatred and all kinds of negetive emotions for so long, Bailey never said a word that would hurt her family. Even though she was a disappointment, she made sure never to say a single hurtful words to them because she knew how much they blamed themselves for what happened.

But if her sister was hurt in the process, she didn't know if she would be able to control herself. And if that happened, she didn't know what they would do to themselves.

So she desperately prayed that Damien was wrong because he was not, today would be the end of their family.

While they went to meet their father, they failed to notice in their haste the hidden figure that had quietly listened to them boasting about what they have did until now and then rush to their parents to get everything sorted out.

It was time for the curtain to fall. It was finally time for some answers.
