"Soo.." he started off and fiddled with his fingers
"How are you doing right now?" he said while anxiously tapping his feet on the floor
"I'm doing amazing yet not so amazing y'know... like about yesterday and all that." you replied
"Oh I see..." he said
Silence then overtook the both of you. I guess this is pretty awkward huh? It was a long silence, nobody wanted to speak up. But you gathered enough of your courage to speak so you cleared your throat
"How-"
"Mr. Oikawa? Mr. Oikawa, your orders are ready." you were interrupted by the server so you just decided to wait for Oikawa to claim the orders and come back.
Oikawa abruptly stood up and muttered a small 'sorry'. He claimed the orders and thanked the servers, then went back to where you were sitting at.
Placing the drinks and snacks on the table, he set aside the tray and sat down.
"I'm sorry, can you continue what you were going to say?" he said while you nodded
"How about you? how are you doing right now Toruu?" you asked
"Well, i'm not doing that great lately... but look I brought you here because I wanna tell you something" he said
"Go on, continue" you responded
"About that time, you know, u-uhm that night" he said
"What about that night Toruu?" you asked
"When you saw that girl kissing me, I actually tried to push her away. she suddenly latched onto me while she was talking to me. I think she might have purposefully done it when maybe she saw you..." he said
"Is that true?" you asked while he briskly nodded
"What about that time at the party then?" you asked again
"Oh that time? She actually knew you were coming last minute and then threatened me into me acting cold and distant to you" he replied in a calm tone
You were shocked. You never expected this outcome. You never thought that Oikawa actually has gone through this. But only one question resided in your mind. 'did Oikawa actually love me?'
That question has been bugging you since that day. The scene that replayed in your mind causing you to groan and rub your forehead. Oikawa noticed this and asked if you were fine while you retorted with a nod.
"Are you sure? It seems like you have a really terrible headache" he stated with worry visible in his eyes
"I'm really fine Toruu. I just remembered something that was not so well and y'know all that" you awkwardly shifted in you seat
Oikawa noticed your awkward behavior which made him panic internally.
"U-uh y/n i-i'm really s-sorry if i'm m-making you uncomfortable... It seems that the tension is suuuuper awkward." he pointed out while lightly scratched his head to ease the atmosphere around you.
