Hanako sneaked out of his room and went to the kitchen. He ate some snacks and went back to his room. He was about to head inside 'till he heard sniffles. His curiosity kicked in and followed the sound. It led to Yashiro's room and he catiously took a peek but much to his dismay it was quite dark so he couldn't see anything.
"H-hanako-kun?" He panicked internally because he was caught
"I'm sorry for invading your privacy" he couldn't see where she was so he slowly closed the door
"Wait" the door opened and revealed a puffy-eyed Yashiro
"What happened?" he asked concern but she remained quiet
"I wanna show you something. Wear your hoodie, it'll be cold once we head outside" He said and she nodded. She went inside to her room and wore a hoodie. They went outside the mansion quiety and they rode his motorbike. He parked his motorbike from a distance and guided her to what seemed like a footbridge
"WOW! The view here is amazing!" Yashiro exclaimed happily
"Yeah" a small smile crept onto his face when he saw how happy she was. There was a moment of silence but it wasn't awkward.
"I miss those days when I used to be a kid. Just chillin' in my room and not thinking about any problem" Yashiro said while leaning on the railings
"Yeah.. me too...I guess real life isn't as easy as movies or manga" he closed his eyes and listened to the sound of the train passing by
"Wanna talk about it?" He asked while eyeing her
"....The girls just said something to me so it's nothing really" she tried to changed the topic but he was stubborn
"They said I'm too ugly to be by your side and that I should stay away from you" she replied in a low tone while avoiding his gaze
"What. Did . They. Just. Said?" He asked slowly getting angry
"Please don't be mad" she looked at him and pleaded. After that, they didn't utter a single word, only the swaying of leaves could be heard. He heard her sighed deeply and looked from afar
"How useless do I have to be before I'll be happy?" She asked and he looked at her sadly
"Your value doesn't decrease just because someone doesn't see your worth. You should be proud of yourself for not giving up." He took her hands and looked at her
"Shine like the whole universe is yours"
He smiled like a dork influencing her. They went to the nearby playground and played tag like children. They laughed like they didn't have any problems carrying on their shoulders.
"Now I'm hungry" she pouted and he chuckled at her.
"Wait here" he jogged to convience store which was only a few feet away from them and bought some snacks.
"Here" they were casually strolling towards where his bike was parked and munched on the snacks that he bought
"Thank you for everything, Hanako-kun" she smiled happily and he pinched her cheek. They rode the bike and went back to the mansion. They both went inside their rooms and said a quick goodnight
