AN: I finally did it! I updated after a good month or two. Had to go back and re-read the last chapter because it's been so long oh my. Anyways, I think you should do the same before continuing.
Also, merry christmas!! I hope you guys get lots of rest and stay hydrated during this difficult time with the pandemic and all. I could go on forever about how tired I am with the way society stands as of late but I know y'all wanna read the chapter so have fun!

Calista ran as fast as she possibly could through the forest. Her mind was running a mile a minute as she formed a plan with the little time she had left before disaster struck. The ice she attacked Acnologia with wasn't going to last forever, and with his strength she might not have as much time as she wanted.
It didn't take long for her to find her exceed since it caught part of the encounter, already by her side and ready to follow her orders.
She looked behind her as she ran and decided to stop for a moment to explain something to her partner.
"Cal? What the hell happened? What are we going to do?" Rin asked.
"Okay, I know you're going to argue with me but, please, and I know you won't want to, but I need you to fly back and tell everyone what's happening and to get here as quickly as possible. Rogue saw everything and probably assumed that we will have a chance to escape, but that's not going to happen. More importantly, tell Laxus I love him."
"Cal! Wha-"
A loud roar interrupted her protest.
"Go! Rin, do not argue with me! Go now!"
"But-"
"Go!"
Rin's internal debate didn't last long as Calista hurled her into the air as soon as another loud roar erupted from a little ways away.
Calista watched as her best friend flew away as fast as she could before snapping out of her trance and taking off towards the mountain to hide. It seemed as though the ice didn't hold for long, but gave her just enough time to escape his sight.
While she was out looking for the flower, she happened upon a hidden cave on the backside of the mountain which would most likely be serving its purpose for the time being. She wasn't sure how strong he was considering the stories she had heard in the city when she was younger so she had to proceed with a lot more caution than she normally would.
From destroying entire countries to almost ridding an entire guild of strong mages, this man was no joke. He had the same power as she, as far as she was aware, and didn't want to allow him the advantage of knowing her power. In addition, it hadn't been too long since she last transformed herself so she was unsure of how much strength she would have, and she wasn't sure if she wanted her guildmates to find out either.
Another loud roar sounded through the mountain, although this time it was further away which meant she had lost him for a bit.
Rogue.
'Calista! What the hell is going on?' He responded right away.
I'm not too sure myself. One second I was looking for this rare flower, the next this man appears from behind a tree. I didn't even sense him before he appeared.
'Where are you?'
Hiding in a cave in the mountain I found while searching. Did you get to my guild hall yet?
