Y/N POV:

I had hesitated about making the call to Taehyung, but the conversation with the girls had convinced me that there was clearly something between me and this beautiful unknown man. He had promised he would be here soon, so as I waited I scrolled through the pictures on the phone again, stopping at a photo that I hadn't paid attention to before.

The ring in the photo was beautiful and simple, something I would have picked out for myself. It made my heart tighten at the thought that I had been building this life with this man and I couldn't remember any of it.

The photos of the little dog Mina and Taehyung had mentioned were adorable. He was a fluffy little Pomeranian and he looked to be well loved by both of us. There were several selfies of myself with a man with messy blond hair that looked to be recent. There were several group photos of myself, the Taehyung guy and six other men. They were all so incredibly handsome and we all looked happy in the photos. Although his hair color changed, I could recognize the guy with the messy blond hair in several of the older photos. Sometimes he would be alone, sometimes with me, and sometimes with an equally handsome man with big doe eyes. I would have to ask Taehyung about the people in the photo when he arrived.

At the sound of a gentle knock on the door, I turned to see Taehyung standing there, almost hesitant to enter. "You can come in," I said softly. I felt bad about the way I had yelled at him earlier. After hearing about Cam cheating on me and this beautiful man coming in like a knight in shining armor, I wanted to remember him. I just wasn't sure how to go about it.

"How are you feeling?" Taehyung asked, his voice soft and gentle. The deep tone of it was so familiar but I couldn't recognize the face the voice belonged to.

"A little better, I guess," I replied. "The pain is not as bad as it was last night." Taehyung was staying close to the door, as if he were afraid I would kick him out again. "Please sit down."

Taehyung hesitated but sat in the chair that was furthest from the bed. For some reason, this made my heart hurt. I had kicked him out earlier. I didn't remember him, but some part of me was yearning for him to be close to me.

We sat there in silence for a moment before I held up the phone. "Can you tell me who these people are?" I asked, opening the phone to the photos. Taehyung nodded and stood, coming closer to the bed. He leaned to look at the phone, careful not to touch me. My heart clenched a little at that. The cedar smell coming from him was intoxicating and familiar. I felt like I had known that smell my whole life.
