Located in Vermont, Starling is a little town that is constantly shrouded in clouds and snow. Ivar, who is eight-years-old, lives on the outskirts of the town, and flees through her bedroom window after her family is slain in the dark of night. She receives three orders from her mother before she is shot: "Don't let them see you." "Whoever asks you who you are, ignore them." "Show no reason for empathy." Ivar, however, finds herself evading looks from strangers in the town after leaving her house. When she finds a boy who reveals the richness of the world to her, she refuses following her mother's orders. As she starts to piece together the truth about the murder, Iris adopts an entirely new perspective on the world. "Her essence shall linger as long as her history stays calamitous."

Just a narrative I wrote for class. I thought maybe the Wattpad community would appreciate it :) There was this girl whom everyone hated for no other reason than the fact that she talked a lot and she was β€œugly.” Every year she tried to make friends with the new kids, but soon their minds were poisoned and they were brainwashed into thinking like the rest of the student body. There was even a sick game the school bully, Zachary, started where you were relentlessly picked on if you went near her. It was two years prior to my arrival, so I don’t know how it actually started. People say that one day Dianella was standing too close to Zachary and started to flirt with him. Then they say that when she did, he instantly screamed out: β€œDon’t touch me with your nasty Dianella germs!” And thus, the Dianella Touch was born. It was as if some kid had been reading too much Diary of a Wimpy Kid, because the rules were almost exactly like those of The Cheese Touch. Except, you could catch Dianella Touch by just standing near her. This caused for her to remain absolutely isolated for two out of three years of middle school. But while everyone was so focused on not being seen with Dianella, they failed to notice how lonely she was and how desperately she wanted them to like her. Most importantly, they didn’t see how amazing she was and how great of a friend she could be.

#poetry "In the depths of humanity, where shadows lie Injustice reigns, and equality dies The cries of the oppressed, echo through time A call to awaken, to a world in crime Through verses and rhymes, I raise my voice Against the wrongs, that make our hearts rejoice For a world where justice, is just a word And equality's dream, is yet to be heard In these poems, I shed light on the pain Of those who suffer, in vain Their stories untold, their voices unheard Their struggles, a testament to a world blurred May these words, be a beacon of hope A call to action, to scope The injustices, that we must abate And create a world, where love and justice create."

"Pretty Privilege is Real" explores the raw realities of societal biases surrounding beauty and privilege through the eyes of Lana, a bright yet overlooked girl navigating school, family, and friendships. The story unfolds through a series of poignant incidents that reveal how beauty often overshadows merit, leading to inequity in academic and social scenarios. Lana confronts systemic favoritism, from unfair treatment in school to dismissive judgments in her family, each incident building a stark contrast between her achievements and the unwarranted adulation her peers receive solely for their looks. Amidst these challenges, Lana's journey delves into unreciprocated crushes, unkind comparisons, and the painful awareness of being reduced to a "side character" in her own life. The narrative reflects her struggle with internalized insecurities and the pursuit of self-worth in a world dominated by superficial standards. Thought-provoking and emotionally resonant, this story sheds light on the pervasive effects of "pretty privilege" and its profound impact on young minds.

This is a poem about social injustice and faint hope. It's born out of the pain of the Lekki massacre that took place on the 20th October 2020 when soldiers on the order of the government shot and killed unarmed citizens who held the flag and sang the national anthem and who were on a peaceful protests. The pain and horror of that day will forever be imprinted on the heart and history of the Nigeria republic.

In a country where gods once walked and justice was divine, how did we arrive at a place where a raped girl's mother is asked, "What was she wearing?" Shadows of Silence is not just a book. It is a wound. A tapestry of truth woven from myth, memory, and mourning, this travels through India's sacred epics and shattered streets to ask a burning question: When did justice become conditional on silence? Structured in four parts-from ancient ideals to modern betrayals-this narrative dares to hold up a mirror. To the laws that failed. To the culture that blinked. To the goddesses who were worshipped but not protected. And to the mothers who carry the weight of unspoken grief like a second skin. Through mythological retellings, real-life horrors, fictional voices, and unflinching moral inquiry, this book becomes a courtroom for a nation's conscience. It doesn't promise healing. But it refuses to look away. πŸ’«β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯ Book 1 in Shadow series - - -

Fearless is an anthology/a book of poems. It has 50 poems written by me, voicing against gender violence, rape and other social issues. There are also poems that talk about mental health, especially Anxiety. Most of them are also about the troubles of my teenage mind. I have a habit of turning my pain into poetry so I'd say that this book brings out a really vulnerable part of me.
