Elliot Stevenson has always dreamed of being female. There's no other way to put it, no way to simplify it. It's a secret he's kept holed up for years, and one that he realises all too late should have been kept that way. Mix that in with a homophobic best friend that he stupidly has feelings for, a father who would kill him if he knew, and a mother who would stand by and watch, and it's a diseased recipe fit for a girl born in the wrong body. With nobody to turn to and nobody to understand him, what's a dysphoric teenager to do? (Note: this story contains a lot of triggers concerning homophobia and transphobia, physical and mental abuse, etc. Although a lot of offensive and possibly upsetting language is used throughout, please keep in mind that such homo/transphobic views are not my own. I fully support people who are homosexual or transgender, and their rights!)
