Belle, an art student in need of a place to work on the paintings for her evaluation, makes the mistake of leaving it to her bungling cousin Craig to find that place for her.
And find her a place, he did...

"Craig! You said this house was, and I quote, 'pretty and quaint, rich in history and character.' You did NOT say that it was squalid and putrid, rich in bad odours and horror! Come on! The lights aren't even working!"

"I am in a house that has seen smugglers, refugees and criminals passing through its hallways. A house where broken clocks kick up a storm of sound at random intervals, a place where time doesn't matter and every minute hand follows its own path. An old mansion filled with sounds and secrets. Really nothing to inspire peace of mind..."

As a storm wreaks havoc and the house wakes up, Belle is increasingly bugged by one very important question: Is the man sharing the house with her real, or is he just a very sexy mop?

Autumn O'Neil has, yet again, persuaded her friends to go on an expedition with her. Where her courage and bravely used to shock them before, now it's a norm for them. The unsuspecting group of friends pack their bags and leave for the haunted mansion in the midst of the forest for two weeks. The friends don't even get to settle there, when things start happening. Disturbing and peculiar things. Things that make them all want to leave, but can it really be simple when one by one, all of them start disappearing? All except Autumn. Trapped in the labyrinth of hidden diaries, torn up wills, restless spirits, anomalous mazes and old relatives, Autumn is expected to solve the mystery of John Marshall. __________________________________________________________________________________ "A brilliant story. Loved the writing style. Made me feel like I was present inside the book, going through each and everything the characters went through. The pain, the obstacles, the horror, the questionings - everything!" ~~@alienocorn __________________________________________________________________________________ Not my greatest work so think twice before reading it until I edit.

"It wasn't me, it was the ghost. That's the whole point!" she shouted. "Fine. But let's do it again. Just to make sure." I wasn't ready to admit there was a ghost talking to my sister. In 1933, Robyn Weller, a young interior designer, was murdered in cold blood by her husband's closest friend. 79 years later, a sixteen-year-old girl named Makayla Moore moves into the killer's mansion with her family. All is well, until Makayla's little sister claims to have close communication with a spirit that's been haunting the house for several decades. The two sisters discover secrets about the house and about the past that no one has ever dared believe. Will they successfully expose ancient lies? Or will an unseen enemy silence them first? ***This story is completely my original work.
