Young Arthur Kingsley - or rather, Pendragon - has been hearing voices inside his head since his eighteenth birthday. He wasn't much a believer in magic, unless you counted Santa until he was thirteen, but his eyes begin to open when a handsome man who goes by the name 'Merlin' approaches him. Intrigued by the stranger, and the familiar images of ruined castles and voices of angry people, he pursues the curiosity and finds himself neck-deep in what appears to be a crumbling kingdom. With his friends asking to meet up for coffee, and the cries of people he knows and yet has never met, Arthur has to make a choice: Forget freedom or take the crown.
