After successfully navigating her high school years, Grace Harrison's plan for her first year at the University of Vancouver is simple; blend in and focus on her love for literature, thanks to a hard-earned scholarship. Little does she know, the college has a world of its own, filled with spoiled rich kids, and extravagant parties.

But life has other plans for Grace, involving a confident and charismatic basketball player who seems to have the entire female population under his spell. Everyone except Grace. Her strategy of staying in the shadows takes an unexpected turn when she's thrust into the world of college athletics, where she meets Lucas Anderson, the enigmatic star of the basketball team.

When Grace collides with Lucas and doesn't succumb to his charms like so many others, it's a refreshing change for him. He's used to adoration, but her resistance intrigues him like nothing before. As he introduces her to the world of basketball, neither of them anticipates the unique connection that forms. Lucas, who has never been interested in dating, finds himself drawn to her.
