I look into you.
You tell me it's true.
It's not.
I have fought
So long to deny
Every single lie
You tell me it's true
This is something new
I have never seen
Something as mean
As you, my enemy
Don't like what I see
I look into you.
Eyes shine at me, something new
I can't see the beauty
There's no ingenuity
Just Plain Jane
Doomed to be forever the same
Nothing new
Nothing true
Just another lie
To defy (me)
Nothing interesting here
Nothing to keep near, hold dear
I look into you
Why don't I see perfection
In my reflection?
A midst all the lies, the fake beauty
I have lost something wonderful.
Me.
