Chapter 2: So I'm in an egg? Just great

Decided to ditch the (Insert POV) thing.

When I come back into consciousness, I started to feel a constricted feeling all around my body, in an attempt to escape I lifted my hand and sharply jabbed at whatever was confining me. My attempts were futile however, as the walls itself seemed to be made of a squishy-like substance. I felt myself beginning to fall, closing my eyes tight (or I assumed I did, I still can't see anything) the fall never came, I felt something tightened around my confinement and I swear I could feel waves of calming energy. So full of love and safety....I hungrily consume (?) whatever was being sent my way

'Wait a darn minute...what am I eating!? How am I eating?' Before I could come a conclusion, The SYSTEM invaded my thoughts once more

[Worry not Serena! It is simply how your species primarily eats. Your species also can consume meats, plants and bone!]

At the beginning of their explanation I began to calm down, but when I heard that I can consume 'Meats, plants and bone' because of my 'Species' caused me to go into a panic mode 'Wait what!? What do you mean "my species"?! Shouldn't I be human!?'

[Oh! I'm sorry Serena I forgot to explain that it is randomly chosen what you will be and where you will go. My apologies Host!]

'Ok, ok calm down, maybe there's still a chance I'm on earth..?'

[That statement is incorrect, you currently reside in the planet Xarreous, in the Brightstar Galaxy on Reitom, a island rich in soil and perfect shores for fishing!]

'W.....What!? Brightstar? Xarreous? Reitom?! Are you serious?! I didn't think this is what you meant by reincarnation!'

[I deeply apologize Serena, if you wish to blame me, you shall]

'Well if you put it like that, you make me sound mean' I told the voice, already feeling the guilt seep into me straight to my very core. I also note that whoever was 'feeding' me has appeared to have left. Also...'Hey SYSTEM?'

[Yes Serena?]

'Why does everything feel restricted, like I'm in an enclosed space? Is this the womb?'

[Actually dear host of mine, you are in what you humans call an 'egg']

'I'm in a WHAT?!'

[An egg, Serena, your species comes from an small egg like structure that slowly gets bigger until you hatch]

I took a deep breath (Or what I thought was a deep breath) and slowly gathered my thoughts 'So I'm in an egg? Just great...'

[I'm glad you think so Serena! I would also note that when you hatch, you may be given a new name to accommodate your new form and world]

That's alright, I already anticipated this, but why an egg?! Out of all the things, I just hope I'm not some weird bug or anything...

I apologise for not updating, haven't been motivated, also paired with the fact that I had to get a new phone. So I'm slowly getting used to it, writing is also something I have to get used to aswell. I promise longer chapters when we are more into the story as I can't really think of anything after that last sentence. Also if you want, you can comment any potential name ideas for MC, Just wanna hear your thoughts and might use the names for future characters.

That's all I have to say, other than the fact that the Changelings are going to be a mixed version of what they are due to the fact that this is another planet and some things will be different.
