Chapter 2

Rose Kingsley
«3 years later aka present time»

"Rose! Get your big ass here!" Chad yells from his room, I smirk as I munch on my poptart
"What did you do?" Riley asks as Dave and Derek walk in from their morning run
"You'll see" I say with a wink as footsteps make their way down the stairs and into the kitchen making the guys all burst out laughing and I turn around to see an angry yet funny looking Chad

"Please tell me this is removable" Chad says pointing to his hair which is now green instead of his natural dark brown
"No" I say, his eyes widen
"What!!" He yells making me laugh
"I'm joking bro chill. Oh and thanks for complimenting my big ass" I say winking, the guys continue laughing
"Watch your back Rose Kingsley, watch your back" Chad threatens then goes back up to his room and into the shower

"Does he really think I'm scared?" I ask, the guys shrug
"He knows you can beat his ass but Chad is very unexpected" Derek says and I shrug
"Oh well, this is what I live for anyways" I say, he chuckles then his Dad walks in, last month Derek took the Alpha title even though he is eighteen and the usual age is twenty-one, so now his Dad is just relaxing and planning a get away with his beautiful wife
"Son, I know your the Alpha now but I still hold contacts, and well I got contacted earlier today by a pack that needs our help dealing with Rouges" He says, that has got all of our attentions, me being the packs lead warrior wolf I need to know if we will need to get into war with anyone

"What pack?" Derek asks, his dad looks at me
"I'm sorry Rose" He says, I furrow my brows but I think I have a feeling of what he is going to say
"No" I say sighing, he nods
"It's the Red Moon pack, your brother took Alpha title three months ago and him along side your father have asked for help" He says, I sit back
"Why us?" Riley asks
"We are the strongest pack, with the strongest people, and strongest equipment" Derek says, his dad nods
"It's your choice son, I'm just here to let you know" His dad says then leaves, Derek looks at me

"Rose, what do you want to do?" He asks, I shrug
"It's my brother, my family, I don't think I'm ready to go back to face Chris but for my brother I'll go" I say, he grins
"Good, even if you would've said no, I would've made you anyways" He says, I roll my eyes smiling at him
"Alpha don't you have to call a pack to tell them you agree? I have to get the warriors set" I say and stand up walking right past him but a weird electrical feeling goes through me when our shoulders brush against each other but I ignore it and make my way outside

"Warriors!" I yell and I let Star let out a howl then all the warriors gather around me
"Alpha Derek got notified that a pack needs our help with Rouge attacks, he accepted and so we need to get to work" I say then we start training, we run around the pack house, we do the usual sit ups and push ups, then we go into the woods and run around trees dodging things, then we go back to where we started and I get two to fight. Then Derek comes out and watches as I show a guy how to flip someone in one swift quick move

"Warriors!" Derek calls out in his Alpha tone, we all stop and face him
"Half of you will stay here to protect our families, the other half will come with me, my beta, my second and Rose to help the Red Moon pack" He says then he splits the warriors in half
"When do we leave?" I ask
"Tomorrow" He says, I take a deep breathe in
"Fuck it" I say then I look up to the sky to see the sun is about to set

"Lets go?" Derek asks looking up as well and I smile, Derek and I do this thing where we shift and run to the cliff we call 'ours' to watch the sunset
"Lets" I say, he smiles then we run to the woods and when we are in the trees we shift, he's an all black wolf with a small white part under his chin, his wolfs name is Shawn and well my wolf, Star, is all white but I recently noticed I have a small black spot under my chin too.

We run and I tackle him playfully then we start to playfully fight and I flip us over so I'm on top and as we play around in our wolf form something inside me feels whole, small shots of electricity keep shooting through my body, and I can't stop smiling. Derek takes advantage that I'm lost in my thoughts to flip us over and then I notice we are close to the cliff, what he does next shocks me, he rubs his head into my neck and that makes my heart beat speed up
"What is he doing" Star asks and I shrug
"I don't know, but it feels," I say
"Good" She finishes then Derek stops and gets off me, we walk to the cliff then sit next to each other

"Shift" Derek mind links me and we both shift back to human form then reach for a blanket that we have behind a rock and we cover ourselves. We have never seen each other naked and we always look the other way when we shift near each other. I wrap myself tight in the blanket and then lean my head on his shoulder
"I'm scared" I say, I feel him look down at me
"Of going back?" He asks and I nod
"Yeah, but mostly of the mate bond, what if when I see Chris the mate bond is still there, I left so I wouldn't feel shit when he goes to fuck some other girl and I haven't which I thank the moongodess for" I say

"Well, you both rejected eachother, you accepted his, did he accept yours?" He asks and I try to think back to that ugly day
"No, I don't think he did" I say mentally cursing
"Maybe the mate bond might still be there but just for him because you completed your side of the rejection, he didnt" He says and I nod
"Have you found your mate?" I ask and he tenses up making me get off his shoulder and look at him

"Well, it's complicated" He says and I furrow my brows
"How is it complicated? Did you or not?" I ask and he shakes his head
"No, I haven't" He says then we both look to the sun which is now setting and going to the other side of the sea
"Whoever she is, she'll be lucky to have you" I say
"Why is that?" He asks

"You're a nice guy, sweet, funny, good looking, and I doubt you'd reject her" I say then the sun is gone and only it's rays make the sky look beautiful
"Well, Chris will regret rejecting you Rose. Once he sees you, he'll wish to take it back" Derek says and I shrug

"Well, what's done is done. If he does wish to take it back, he'll have to work hard as fuck for three years" I say
"You'd take him back?" Derek asks and I laugh
"Hell no" I say then I drop the blanket and shift, he does the same and with our mouths we hide our blankets again
"Race you" Derek mindlinks me
"You're on" I mindlink back then we take off running back to the pack house
