Chapter 27

Rose Kingsley

We are in the woods, and I don't know where he is taking me because he just hushes me whenever I ask but I trust him and don't mind being alone in the woods with him. The car stops and I furrow my brows as all I see is trees
"Derek" I say in a questioning tone, he smiles at me then comes around and opens my door for me
"Come on" He says and leads me down a path through the trees
"Where are we going?" I ask, he ignores me

"Here" He says after a few minutes then moves out of my way and my eyes widen to see an open area surrounded by lights and a table set for two in the middle with a bunch of pillows on the other side and a blanket on the pillows along with a laptop
"Happy one year" He says and I smile
"Happy one year" I say nodding and kiss him
"You like?" He asks pulling away leading me to the table
"I love it" I say and sit, he sits across from me smiling
"Good. James helped me" He says
"This is where yall have been?" I ask, he nods
"He also told me this is your favorite" He says revealing a sealed plate with lasagna on it and I smile

"Oh god" I say, he grins
"Lets eat? It looks good" He says and I giggle, we both take a slice then eat and I smile as my taste buds burst in joy
"My grandma made it" I say as I taste her secret delicious recipe and he chuckles nodding, we start talking about stupid topics, laughing and enjoying ourselves here alone
"I have to tell you something" We say at the same time then laugh
"You go first" We say again together
"You first babe" He says, I take a deep breath

"I found out a week or so ago. Please dont be mad that I didn't tell you when I found out" I say, his smile slowly drops and he furrows his brows
"What happened? You're okay?" He asks taking my hands in his, worry in his tone
"I'm-I'm" I stutter
"Rose" He says worried and I take a deep breathe closing my eyes then open them and make eye contact with him

"I'm pregnant" I say, its silent for a full twenty seconds
"Please say something" I whisper and his lips curve up into a smile slowly
"P-Pregnant?" He asks smiling, I nod
"I'm going to be a dad" He says and I smile nodding again then he chuckles and stands up pulling me up and hugging me, he lifts me up and spins me
"We're going to be parents!" He yells and I giggle
"Yes, yes we are" I say as he stops and looks down at me with a huge smile

"Why would I be mad about something this amazing?" He asks and I sigh
"Because we just got used to our lifestyle after all the danger and I seen you have been stressing" I say, he pecks my lips
"I'm having a child with you, that is the best news ever that takes my mind off of everything else" He says and I smile
"Sami found out before you guys got home today because I threw up" I say, he chuckles

"Of course she did, now I'm going to have to deal with my pregnant girls symptoms" He says, I giggle
"So, what did you want to tell me?" I ask, he licks his lips pulling away from me and I furrow my brows as he takes a deep breathe

"Rosalinda Kingsley, you're my best friend, my soul mate and now the mother of my pup that you're carrying. That day I laid my eyes on you when the guys found you, I knew you were different, you were special, I just didn't know how. We've been through a lot together and I've seen you grow and how you always came back stronger than ever. I love you so much for your bravery and your strength and of course your beauty is a bonus," He says smiling, I smile big as I feel a blush form on my cheeks
"Derek what are you g-" I say but he cuts me off as he gets on one knee and my eyes widen as my heart beat goes faster

"Rose you're already carrying my child and we've already done a lot together but I want you to carry more of my pups and I want to do so much more with you by my side as my wife," He pauses taking out a small box and he opens it, a beautiful ring being revealed causing me to gasp and tears to be close to falling,"So, Rosalinda Kingsley, my beautiful Rose, will you marry me?" He asks and I smile, I blink and the tears fall as I nod

"Yes, yes, yes I will marry you" I say, he smiles big then slides the ring on my finger standing up and he cups my face in his hands our lips connecting
"I love you so much" I whisper against his lips
"I love you much more" He whispers, I smile then look down at my ring as he places kisses on my neck and then his hand goes to my belly
"We are getting our happy ending after all" He says, I smile then kiss him again
"So, want to watch some movies now?" I ask and he chuckles leading me to the pillows and getting the laptop going onto Netflix.

We cuddle as we watch two movies, in the middle of the second one we get interrupted by someone wanting to mindlink us
"Lets see what they want" I say and I open mines up

"ROSE ITS TIME"
"HER WATERBROKE"
"WE NEED YOU ROSE"
"SHES YELLING FOR YOU"

Everyone's voice hits me at once and my eyes widen as I look at Derek
"Sami is going into labor, we have to go" I say, his eyes widen as we quickly stand up
"Forget the car, I could get us there faster" He says then he shifts and lets me get on him then he runs through the woods to the pack hospital
