Y/n POV

I couldn't believe what Erik was telling me, he looked like he was about to cry. I just leaned over and hugged him, " Erik i'm so sorry " I said. he didn't answer he just hugged me back.

Y/n: Erik do you want me to stay with you tonight

He sniffled and just shook his head, " i'll be okay " and with that he gave me a kiss on the forehead. I walked out of his room and closed the door. I knocked on lyle's door and he opened it, " oh hey " he said. I could hear the hurt in his voice. " Is it still okay if i stay here " i asked, " yeah yeah of course " and he let me me in.

Lyle: so where were you ?

Y/n: i- uh- i saw lyle..

Lyle: please don't think differently of me, i hate it so much and i just can't do anything about it.

He started to tear up and I wrapped my arms around him and rubbed his back slowly. " Lyle i would never judge you like that " And he just let it all out, he wiped his eyes, " i have a question actually " he said. " okay.. ".

Lyle: Does your dad hit you ?

I froze completely, so many thoughts ran through my head. All the memories, the time he pushes me down the stairs, when he slapped me, everything was coming back. I looked lyle in the eyes.

Y/n: yeah lyle he does but i'm fine

Lyle: no no no, i didn't want it to be true

Y/n: lyle i'm okay i swear

Lyle: no because you don't deserve that

He looked me in my face and he's never looked this serious before, " your never being by yourself again " he said. " Lyle you go to college next year, you need to worry about that ". He grabbed my hands.

Lyle: you are the most important thing in my life so i'll worry about you whenever I want too

He said that as he hugged me and I hugged him back. Once he pulled away he laid down and I laid back with him and had my head on his chest.

The Next Day

I woke up to Lyle being gone with a note,

" Went to go practice with Erik down at the courts, come down after you shower. Wear some of my clothes if you want when you shower. Love, Lyle ".

I grabbed some sweatpants and a sweater and went to the bathroom. I took my shower and then went downstairs. I seen Kitty in the kitchen, " hi Mrs.Menendez, I hope I didn't disturb anyone by staying here ". " Dear your always welcome here whenever you like " she said with a smile. I walked out to the courts and seen Erik with his back turned to me. I looked at Lyle and put my finger up to my mouth.

Y/n: BOO

I grabbed his sides and yelled. He screamed like a little girl, Lyle was just laughing at him.

Erik: you almost gave me a heart attack

Y/n: aw big baby i'm sorry

Erik: i'll get you back trust me

I grabbed a racket and started hitting a ball to Erik. " I don't want summer break to end " he said. " I know it's like two weeks left " Lyle replied.

Erik: wait, y/n which highschool do you go too ?

Y/n: Beverly Hills High

Lyle: We go there too

Y/n: amazing, now i'll get to scare you guys more

Erik laughed, " i'll be watching you " He said.

After we got done practicing we went back inside

Y/n: I should probably get back home

Lyle looked at me, " i'll take you over there " he said with a stern voice. I got up and went to the door, " then come on slow poke ". He grabbed his keys and followed me outside. We got into the car and he started it. " If you need anything, I mean anything. You can call me or Erik ", I looked at him and grabbed his hand, " Lyle I will ". He smiled and pulled out of the driveway and started driving.

" thank yo- " I started to say and he drove past my driveway, I looked back and then at him. " Lyle my house is back there ". He was staring at the road and just said " I know ".
