~Juvia's PoV~
After talking things over with Gajeel, he left his stool and walked over to his wife and son.
I on the other hand, stayed sat down by the bar and ordered myself a small beer.
"This one's on the house." Mira winked at me. "In honor of one of my OTP's finally sailing!"
I sighed at her and slightly giggled. She placed my beer in front of me and slowly walked away while slightly doing some sort of weird dance with her feet.
I peacefully enjoyed my beer while watching Gray and Natsu brawl about something or other, until I caught a certain blonde making her way towards me.
"Hey Lucy." I greeted her with a smile, though once she got close enough, I could make out a slight look of embarrassment and worry on her face. "Are you... okay?"
She quickly nodded and sat on the stool next to me, facing me directly and with her head facing completely down.
"So uhh..." She started. "Remember the other day when you told me you'd help me with the uhh..." She trailed off slightly but then continued, almost in a whisper. "The Natsu situation."
My eyes lit up and her face finally faced mine. She was asking me for advice?! Me?!
I regained my posture and slightly coughed. "Yes I remember."
"Well..." She continued. "I thought what you told me through, and I think it's about time I do something about it."
I smirked at her. "So what I'm hearing is, you want to be his girlfriend."
Her cheeks tinted pink and she slightly flinched. "W-Well I mean so far I was thinking maybe a date or something..."
I smiled and took a sip of my beer. "So you need help asking him out?"
She quickly nodded and fiddled with her fingers. "I was thinking maybe tomorrow we could go to a restaurant or go to the beach for a picnic, but when I suggested it to him he invited Gray and Erza to tag along as a team get together..."
I sweat dropped and sighed at Natsu's stupidity. Well there really only is one way to deal with these kind of people...
"So trick him into going." I bluntly stated.
She looked at me shocked. "Trick him?"
I nodded. "Tell him tomorrow your whole team is going for a picnic at the beach, but tell the others of the actual plan."
After a few seconds of her staring, she joined the dots and understood the plan. "I see! So I tell the others about the date? But won't he be skeptical when the others don't show up? What if he leaves? What if..."
She started spiraling into nonsense and creating scenarios in her head of everything that could possibly go wrong.
"Lucy!" I called out to her but she didn't seem to respond. I took her by the shoulders and shook her frantically until she dozed back into reality.
"Lucy listen, as soon as he shows up to the picnic, you have to be there and be upfront about how you feel about him okay? No messing around!"
She pouted but understood my point. The only way to get through his thick skull is to be upfront and not beat around the bush.
"Now go get him girl!"
She smiled at me and quickly scurried off to plan her date. They grow up so fast.
As I saw her run out of the guild, I saw Meredy looking at me from across the guild. She waved at me and signaled me to come over to her.
I couldn't clearly make out her expression from across the hall, but she seemed quite joyful and static.
I jumped off the stool and walked over to her, while dodging the people being thrown around in yet another bar fight.
Once I got to her, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from Jellal and Erza, who were cheerfully chatting on an table nearby.
"Where are we going?" I asked her as she pulled me towards an empty table further away.
"Away from Jellal." She answered and sat down, signaling for me to sit in front of her. "I don't want him eavesdropping on our conversation."
I hesitantly sat down on the vacant seat in front of her. "Okay, what did you want to talk to me about?"
Excitement filled her eyes and she stared at me expectantly. "Let's go on a double date."
Huh.
"A... double date?" I questioned her, repeating her words.
She energetically nodded. "I thought that since you and Gray are finally dating, you could go on a double date with me and Lyon!"
I looked at her with an emotionless expression. "You uhh do know he's my ex, right?"
"Yes yes." She waved me off. "But he told me you guys were back to being friends and that there were no hard feelings."
"Well yeah but don't you think it'll be..." I paused for a second. "Awkward?"
She slightly sighed and her expression became shyer. "The truth is Lyon asked me on a date a few days ago..."
I smiled at her, and surprisingly was genuinely excited about my ex asking my best friend out. "That's great!"
She nodded slightly but then continued. "I agreed, but the problem is I have never actually been on a date before. So I thought if you and Gray tagged along it would be less awkward..."
I looked at her empathetically and smiled. "Of course. Anything for my best friend."
Her eyes lit up and she leaned over he table to hug me. "Arigato!!" She broke the hug and sat back down on her seat. "What about Gray? Will he mind?"
"Mhmm..." I don't think Gray would be too thrilled about the idea of spending time near Lyon, much less me and Lyon together...
I shrugged and sweat dropped. "Don't worry, I'll convince him."
She gave me a bright smile and we ended up chit chatting until the guild hall closed down for the day.
