~Gray's PoV~
"Ugh." I complained as I attempted to tie my tie for the fourth time. This is ridiculous.
Juvia chuckled at me and walked over to help me. "You're doing it all wrong Gray. Here, let me help you."
She stood in front of me and re-did my tie, adjusting it to the collar of my light blue shirt perfectly.
"There you go! Perfect!" She cheered with a wide smile on her face.
I looked in the mirror at the clothes Juvia chose for me to 'wear'. A plain light blue long sleeved shirt tucked into formal black pants and a black tie.
I sighed. "I don't see the point of going. Let's not." I attempted to get out of it. I can't believe she convinced me to go on a double date with that bastard.
"Too late to cancel now. Come on Gray don't be dramatic I'm sure it will be fun." She tried to cheer me up.
I sighed in defeat. I guess if it makes her happy I should put effort into making tonight as enjoyable as possible. For the both of us.
"Fine, fine." I looked at her as she adjusted her side braid in the mirror. "You know we have to leave in ten minutes and you're still not dressed."
She looked down at the towel she was wearing and waved me off. "Yeah yeah I'll go get dressed now."
She grabbed a pile of clothes and went into the bathroom to change.
I looked in the small mirror on her living room wall. My hair was all spiky and messy, but I completely gave up on it.
I looked over to my blazer, which was laying on the arm of the couch. No way I was going to wear that. I want to be able to move, and moving is my human right.
"Gray." I heard Juvia say from the other side of the bathroom door. "Are you ready to leave? I'll be out in a second."
I grabbed her purse and placed it on the coffee table. I knew if she left it in her room she would forget it.
I heard the bathroom door unlock and click open. Juvia rushed out and grabbed the purse I just placed on the table. "Aagh we're so late let's go."
She had on a tight bodycon silver dress that reached her mid thigh, and black heeled ankle boots. She hurriedly put on a fluffy black coat that only reached her waist and grabbed her keys.
She hurried towards the door but stopped to look at me. "Why are you just standing there? Let's go!"
She looked stunning. Her braided hair hung about her shoulder and rested right by her waist. I walked toward her and placed my hand behind her waist.
"G-Gray?" She looked up at me and blushed furiously.
I leaned into her and placed my lips on hers. "You look beautiful." I said as I pulled away.
She laughed and pat my head. "Idiot. We'll be late."
We walked out of Fairy Hills and into Magnolia. The streets were beautifully lit up under the rays of the full moon, and although it was late as it was, people still merrily roamed the streets.
We finally reached the restaurant they decided to meet at. We stood by the window and waited outside for them, as we were surprisingly early.
"Hey Gray, thank you for doing this." Juvia stated all of a sudden.
I looked at her confused. "What do you mean?" I questioned.
She slightly giggled. "I know how much you don't want to do this. So thank you for still coming and bearing it."
I took her hand in mine as we stood waiting for the others. "No worries. Anything for you."
She smiled up at me and I smiled back.
"Juvia!" Someone called out from a distance.
We diverted our attention to the voice and saw Meredy and Lyon walking towards us in a hurry, while Meredy joyfully waved at us.
She wore a red dress similar to Juvia's, with white high heels and a large white coat over it. Her hair was up in a messy, yet formal, bun, with odd strands falling out and dangling here and there.
She approached Juvia and gave her a big hug, and much to my dismay Lyon followed right after.
"Gray." He looked at me, but didn't make any effort to try and shake my hand.
"Lyon." I barked back.
"Shall we go in? Our reservation is in a minute." Juvia pointed out and tried to get our attention.
We both nodded and the four of us stepped into the large restaurant. I had never been in such a fancy restaurant before. Everyone looked so smart and dressed up, and all the furniture seemed new and polished.
"Excuse me." Meredy approached the desk at the entrance of the restaurant. "We made a reservation for 10pm tonight."
The lady at the desk nodded. "Last name please?"
"Lockser."
She checked a book on the desk and nodded up at us. "Lockser, table for four. Right this way please."
She led us through the restaurant and to a table on the right hand side of the restaurant.
Juvia sat by the wall, and indicated me to sit right in front of her. Doesn't she want to sit next to me?
Nevertheless, I sat in front of her, also beside the wall. Meredy sat next to Juvia which only meant... I had to sit next to Lyon for the next few hours.
I frowned at Juvia and she slightly laughed while looking apologetic. She looked down at her lap for a few seconds then looked back up.
I felt my phone vibrate and looked down underneath the table to see that it was a message from Juvia:
Juvia💧🔒:
This way they'll be sitting in front of each other and get more chances to talk!! ;PI sighed and looked back at her smiling expression. I love her but she can be so annoying sometimes.
"Hello ladies, gentlemen." A guy standing next to our table greeted. "Would you mind giving me your orders?"
We all gave him our orders and he walked back to the kitchen. After about an hour, the guy came back with four plates, and handed us each our plate.
"Enjoy."
