Chapter 3: Encountered

"Hyung, ow-- you can let go of my hand--"

"Oh, God, sorry, Felix." Jisung immediately let go of Felix's wrist he was gripping on tight to.

The younger reflexively rubbed his wrist as soon as Jisung let go of it.

"Sorry." he apologized again.

"Is everything alright?" Jeongin asked. "You seemed a bit..."

"I'm fine. But you shouldn't hang around them. Especially you." the oldest announced.

"Huh-? But-- one of them is my friend--" Felix said confused.

"Who is it?"

"Chan-hyung. The blonde one. A bit taller than me. He's also Australian."

Jisung sighed.

"I don't know him, but... judging that he hangs around with Hyunjin... I don't know, Felix. I wouldn't trust them."

"Why should I not hang out with them, hyung? Do you know them or something?" the boy asked.

"The tallest one. You all better not hang around him. The one with blonde long hair."

"I think you said his name was Hyunjin?" Seungmin made sure.

"Right. And.. he's not the one you'd want to trust. I saw his eyes stop on you, Lix. I just think you might be his next 'target'. Just don't let his charms get to you." the shortest from the group explained.

"Chan-hyung is not like Hyunjin, hyung. I've been friends with him for long and he's not like him." Felix tried assuring.

"Whatever, I don't want to talk about him. Felix, please stay away from them."

"Was that him? Han Jisung?" Bang Chan asked and both Hyunjin and Minho nodded.

"Right! That's the name!" "How does he know you, Hyunjin?" he asked.

"He's just... We just bumped into each other once, that's all." he said, as the bell rang and he decided to leave the group.

Changbin and Minho shrugged it off and just went outside. Bang Chan thought of following Hyunjin, since he could tell that he wasn't alright, but it was his personal business

It was lunch time and to Hyunjin's luck, he spotted the freckled boy.... along with Jisung and the rest of the group.

"Ugh! Do they like EVER break apart? Like, come on! They're always together!" Minho complained.

"Minho, you are not gonna drink his blood." he heard the oldest simply say and answered with a groan.

"What if we tried talking to them?" Hyunjin suggested suddenly, shocking the others, silencing them.

Changbin even choked. "You're kidding, right?" he broke the silence.

"Well, we never tried that but why not?"

"Because there's a risk of us getting exposed." Minho answered with a "you should know that" tone.

"It'll be harder for us to control ourselves. I get that it hasn't been that long since you last tasted human blood, but it had been for us. And if we come anywhere near them, our senses will take the lead and we will lose control." Changbin said.

Hyunjin's expression was unreadable.

"Talk about getting attached to them." The brown-haired vampire added, looking at Bang Chan.
