This request is for the lovely vampirenight19, I hope you like it! This will contain smut and fluff throughout, so if you aren't comfortable with smut and fluff, then read at your own risk! I also want to mention that the original character (OC) has alopecia, meaning she has no hair; I myself do not have that condition, so if I get it wrong in any way, my sincerest apologies. Alright, imma shut up now, let's get to the story!
Kelsee's POV
No one wants to be told that they're never going to have hair on their head. But when I started dating Jasper Hale of the Cullen vampire clan, the fact that my lack of hair came to the forefront of my brain even when I didn't want to talk to anyone about it. My name is Kelsee, and I suffered from a condition called alopecia, meaning that my immune system hated my hair follicles and was attacking them, leaving behind bald spots that started overlapping as my stress levels from school and other scenarios that come with dating a vampire increased and leading to me having to wear a wig to cover up said bald spots as they grew (A/N: the lovely reader who requested this story pointed something out to me that I hadn't fully registered as incorrect, which I have fixed here. Thank you so much to that reader, and I apologize profusely if I offended anyone! I never want to offend any of my readers, and so if I have, feel free to call me out on it anywhere and I'll correct it to the best of my ability!). Jasper knew of what I had and constantly told me that it didn't matter what I looked like underneath my (h/c) wig of choice. But when Alice ever talks with Jasper, my mind thinks of the worst possible scenarios just because of her hair. And today was one of those days.
Jasper and I were walking through the busy hallways of Forks High School toward our next class when Alice skipped in between us and asked, "Hey, Jasper! Do you think Carlisle and Esme will take us out hunting this weekend?"
He shrugged and answered, "Probably, as it's forecasted to be sunny on Friday. But what I want to know is what Kelsee thinks about joining us on our hunt." He looked over Alice's perfect head of hair to my face, his eyes telling me he did want an answer to what I'd asked him.
I smiled despite my heart and head telling me not to and answered, "I'd be delighted to join you guys. I'd never seen you hunt before, and I am always willing to learn more about you and vampires in general." He smiled at me and maneuvered around Alice's petite body to my other side, gripping my free hand and squeezing it as we went toward my next class; Jasper and I didn't share English classes, which stunk, but never bugged him about changing classes so he could be with me.
When the three of us stood outside my classroom, I smiled at Jasper and he told me, "I'll be right here when you get out of class so we can go to lunch together, Kelsee. Trust me." I nodded, squeezed the hand he held, and he kissed my forehead before we parted ways and I went inside the classroom to learn about Robert Frost and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
After class let out and I put my stuff in my backpack, I slowly exited my seat at the front of the room and headed for the door, expecting Jasper to be outside it like he told me he'd be. He was at the door, but Alice was also with him and they were talking probably about the upcoming hunt and what animals they'd catch; I watched them chat and laugh together and couldn't help but be drawn to Alice's perfect pixie cut chestnut-brown hair. I knew I'd never be able to have that kind of hair in my life, and as I watched Jasper laugh with Alice like it was his job, I also knew I'd never be able to give Jasper that kind of happiness. The pain in my heart at realizing this fact was too much for me to bear, and I let one tear fall. Pushing through the growing crowd of students, I walked through the hallways toward my locker, letting my wig cover my face and hopefully hiding the tears threatening to fall if I pushed them too hard. When I got to my locker, I ripped it open, got my books for my next to classes, and heard, "Hello, Kelsee." Apparently Edward didn't know the meaning of the mental words Leave me alone! that I'd shouted at him.
