My Snowman and Me - 2

We watched the sun set,
I never wanted you to disappear,
Like the sun did at night
Like the moon did as dawn.

I cried a bit,
How I wished we could be together,
Forever.

Maybe even get married and have snow babies.

I was just thirteen,
And you'd never told me your age,
But I'll wait for you.

My snowman and me.

Winter was almost up,

I knew the day was coming,

When you would be leaving like the rest,

I was going to be alone again.

And I never really got to know your name....

My snowman and me.

Waking up in a puddle,

I looked up to see what remained of you,

Shielding the sun from your snow woman,

I couldn't stop myself from shedding tears,

You kept on smiling,

Your hand fell on my head,

It was comforting.... In a strange way,

I stood up high,

Then went back into my house,

By the window,

I'll wait for you,

Till next winter it was.

My snowman loves me.
