REINA'S POV
The Gamorrean warrior charged at me with no plan and swung its axe with so much force, that when I dodged, the swiftness of the attack knocked me off balance momentarily. I gripped the handle of my katana and jabbed upward, but it turns out the pig was a lot more agile that I anticipated. Distance was put between us. It made another first move and after I somersaulted to avoid its downward motion, I managed to slice its lower leg, causing it to bellow in pain.
I could hear the crowd cheering and booing for my successful offense. Before I could recover, I ducked my head just in time before the axe could decapitate me. I had to continue to roll on the mat, unable to gain back my footing as the pig continuously stomped and swung its weapon at me. I was ultimately led into a corner of the ring, dodging one last swing before being yanked by my right foot and tossed aross the ring. The breath was knocked out of me, and my silver vision went hazy. I was at eye level with Din.
That's when my eyes closed involutarily. The crowd's obnoxiously noise softened, almost dispersing completely. In my mind, the whole arena formed before me. I could see the pig charging behind me without turning around. Not yet...I told myself. Wait for it...Now! Gripping my blade, I rolled over on my back just as the axe came down and lodged itself into the mat, and I jabbed upward once more, stabbing the warrior in its abdomen. It fell over, wriggling and squealing in pain.
I could hear the crowd again, roaring over my triumph. But it would be short-lived when I heard a blaster shot and felt a sharp pain in my left arm. "Ahh!" I cried, dropping my sword.
"Reina!" I heard Din shout. "Get down!" I immediately obeyed just as I heard the familiar sound of the whistling birds take flight. This time, the crowd panicked and screamed, pushing each other to escape the feud commencing. Pushing myself, I clenched my katana with my right hand and rolled off the ring, joining Din's side, back to back, as we fended off the rest of Koresh's cronies. Din had already kicked the Child's closed capsule away so it wouldn't interfere.
"Watch your left." Din instructed.
"Got it." I nodded, and deflected a knife coming at me from my right. Din focused more on hand-to-hand combact, while I stuck with my sword. I couldn't defend my partner too much—the only shot I had was when I knocked a blade out of one goon's hand and used it to strike another's heart on Din's back left. Once they were all dead, we realized Koresh had fled.
"How's your arm?" Din questioned, touching my left hand. I shrugged it off. "We have to find him. We still need our side of the bargain."
It wasn't hard to catch him. Outside the arena, in the dimly-lit alley, Din used his grappling wire to tie Koresh's legs, slinging the line over a lightpole, and hoisted the boss up by his feet.
"All right, stop, stop!" Gor Koresh groaned. "I'll tell you where he is. But you must promise that you won't kill me." He continued to grunt as Din and I faced him.
"I promise you will not die by my hand." Din stated. "Now, where is the Mandalorian you know of?"
"Tatooine." Koresh huffed in his uncomfortable state.
"What?" Din said in disbelief.
"The Mando I know of is on Tatooine."
"We've spent much time on Tatooine." I crossed my arms. "We never heard or saw a Mandalorian there." Nor were we looking for one at the time...
"My information is good, I tell you." Koresh swore. "The city of Mos Pelgo. I swear it by the Gotra."Koresh grunted again. Din and I exchanged a look, and then he passed by me, heading back to the Razor Crest. "Tatooine, it is, then. Come on, Reina."
