Ch. 21

The whole way home, Skylar looked over his clothes then at Mai who just sat there with a smirk on her face. Sighing he looked back down at his clothes. He had on a pair of white jeans that had the knees cut out, and chains on the left side of his hip. The white shirt he had on belonged to Hunter which was way too big on him of course, but the way Mai helped him with it made it look stylish. After she put the shirt on him and buttoned it up, she then tucked the front into his pants then pulled it down in the back, so the front was pulled up. Even the shoes he had on were white, but the one thing Mai wanted him to put on was a bit weird for him.

Reaching up to his neck, Skylar gently pressed his fingers against a white leather choker ''Are you going to tell me why I am dress like this'' he said looking at her ''And why did I need to wear the choker?''

''I just saw the choker and thought how nice it would look not only with you, but the outfit as well'' Mai said smiling over at him ''And as I have said before, you will just have to find out when we get there.''

Skylar slumped back in the seat and crossed his arms as he looked out the window again. He didn't like secrets. Letting out a sigh, he just sat there once again listening to Mai and her humming. But everything changed as they finally started to pull down the drive. Skylar sat up and looked around. Everyone's cars were in the driveway. Looking closer, Skylar saw his father and mother standing outside next to the front door.

''Sky'' his mother said, smiling as she walked over to him the moment he got out of the car.

His father walked over to them as well and smiled ''Welcome back son'' he said.

Skylar nodded a bit as he looked at them ''What is going on'' he asked raising a brow ''Why is everyone at Hunter's house?''

Both Mai and his mother looped their arms with Skylar's, careful not to hurt him as they gently pulled him inside. Just as his father opened the door for them, Skylar was taken back when everyone yelled welcome home. As Mylo ran over to him, Skylar knelt down and hugged him tightly, but looking up he couldn't find Hunter.

''I...is he not here'' Skylar asked slowly standing.

Tristan and Nik laughed as they pointed towards the library ''In there'' they said together.

Skylar raised a brow looking at everyone, only to have Mylo gently push on his legs as if he was pushing him to the library. Laughing, Skylar went along with it as he made his way inside only to have the door close behind him.

Shaking his head, Skylar slowly walked around ''Hunter'' he said.

''Sky, what is the one thing you like to do when you are alone'' Hunter said just as Skylar found him next to the history books.

''Read'' he answered as he moved to stand next to him ''About history.''

''And which one of these is your favorite to read'' Hunter pointed to the shelf.

Skylar let out a deep sigh as he pulled a book off the shelf ''This one'' he said once again holding up a book about Vikings.

Hunter finally turned to him ''Good'' he leaned over and placed a kiss against his forehead ''Bring that with you.''

Hunter reached down and took hold of Skylar's good hand and gently pulled him out of the library and down of the hall. They finally stopped just outside Mylo's room as Hunter pushed open the door.

''When you spend time with Mylo, what are both of your favorite things to do'' Hunter asked, folding his arms over his chest.

Skylar thought about it for a moment ''It's bed time'' he said walking into the room and picked up a book ''Mylo likes it when I read this book to him.''
