Chapter Nine

"Belle, Belle wake up" I heard Caspian and  i groan but open my eyes he pointed to the large footprints that appeared i sat up straight. I stood and went over to Edmund

"Ed wake up" i shook my brother. then went to wake up Lucy but she wasn't there. Oh no.

"Lucy's gone" i told them

"everyone wake up" i called and they did i grabbed my sword and other weapons.

"this way" we all fallowed Caspian into the Island we entered what looked like a very well preserved garden. It was beautiful, I think I might create something similar when we return home.

"Caspian, Izzy. Lucy's dagger" we turned round and saw Edmuns was holding it  spears were throne and nearly hit us. I squealed in shock.

"stop right there or be killed " a voiced said then took Caspian's sword then knocked him to the ground

"what sort of creatures are you" Caspian asked after they disarmed us all

"big ones with the head of a tiger and the body of a..." it trailed off

"Different tiger" another added they agreed  but our creature became visible and there were weird things with one big and i mean big foot

"you don't want to mess with us"

"or  what" Ed asked

"or we'll claw you to death" the became fully visible now as they still tried to threaten us. Clearly they hand't caught on yet.

"i'll ram my tusks right through you" one stated and i covered my mouth in amusement.

"and i'll gnash you with my teeth"

"and i'll bite you with my fangs"

"you mean squash us with you fat bellies" Ed joked

"or tickle us with your big toes" Caspian chuckled the wobble and fell to the floor. i took my sword as did Edmund and held it to whatever it was.

"tell us what you've done with our sister Pip-squeak" Edmund glared

"now calm down"

"where is she?" i asked and the others told him to tell us.

"In the mansion" he told us

"what mansion" we asked the looked to the side as a mansion appeared

"oh that mansion"  i breathed now noticing it. It was beautiful and big, I wonder how it was hidden, it had me very curious.

"you know i getting really tired of you all leaving me behind" i heard our annoying cousin

"who's he calling weird" the said and i saw a man come towards us with Lucy

"the oppressor" the chanted and backed away

"Lucy" i chimed

"your majesties" he bowed towards us.

"Caspian, Isabelle and Edmund. This is Coriakin its his Island" we bowed to him in respect.

"that what he thinks. you have wrong us magician" the pip squeak commented

"i have not wronged you i made you invisible for your own protection" Corakin retorted towards them which only annoyed them more.

"protection"

"that's oppressive oppressor"

"i have not oppressed you" Two more joined in as they hopped up and down clearly trying to start a fight or something. But the man was not biting.

"but you could have if you wanted to"

"be gone" he threw something at them and they bounced away

"what were those things" Eustace questioned

"dufflepuds" Coriakin replied. he walked on and we followed him inside. Walking his corridors Lucy asked

"what do you mean you did it for their own good"

"it seemed the easiest way to protect them...from the evil" i looked at Caspian

"you mean the mist" i asked

"i mean what hides behind the mist" he gestured for us to go forth and i gasped the ceiling looked like the stars and constellations it was a library. Coriakin threw out a map and it came to life.

"it's quite beautiful" i raised my eyebrow as Eustace. i looked around the corners and it told the story of our first time in Narnia

"i mean for a make believe map in a make believe world." he added

"there is the source of your troubles. A place where evil lurks, It can take any form . It can make your darkest dreams come true. it seeks to corrupt all goodness and to steal light from this world." he stood before Ed then addressed all of us.

"how do we stop it?" Lu questioned with determination.

"you must break its spell. that sword you carry, there are six others" Corking answered my sister.

"have you seen them" Ed asked

"yes"

"The six Lords passed through here? " Caspian added

"indeed"

"Where were they headed" i wondered

"where i sent them" the Map zoomed and created the image of a island

"you must follow the blue star Ramandu's Island there the seven sword must be laid at Aslan's table. Only then can their true magical power can be realised. But beware you are all about to be tested"

"Tested" me and my sister asked he turned to Lucy

"Until you lay down the seventh sword evil has the upper hand. it will do everything in its power to tempt you." he  stared right at Lucy "Be strong. don't fall to temptation" he came towards us

"to defeat the darkness out there you must defeat the darkness inside yourself" he looked at Caspian. We looked at the blue star then left. That night there  storm and this lasted 14 days and nights. We sat in the map room listening to Drinian.

"So we're stuck here at half rations, with food for two more weeks maximum. this is your last chance to turn back now your majesties. There's no guarentee we'll spot this blue star anytime soon. not in this storm. Needle in a haystack trying to find this  Ramandu place. we could sail right past it and of the edge of the world."

"or get eaten by a sea serpent" Ed jested

"Edmund" i scolded scowling as i was jumped up and down

"I'm just saying the men are getting nervous. these are strange seas were sailing. The likes of which i've never seen before" i stood up

"Maybe Captian you would like to be the one to explain to Mr Rhinse that we're abandoning the search for his family." i stood up and went to rest my hands on the table.

"i'll get back to it" i gave a tight smile and nod. he went to get his cloak

"just a word of warning. the sea can play nasty tricks on the crew's mind. Very nasty. with that he left. Caspian came uup and rubbed my arms.

"i'm going to bed" i sighed then kissed Caspian goodnight and hugged Edmund. once i chanced i crawled up the Edge. Lucy and Gael were already asleep.
