Technoblade leaned back against his faux leather office chair. He stared at his computer, blue light illuminating the dark room he sat in. He arched his back pressed on it, earning satisfying pops as he groaned, head going fuzzy. He sighed and stretched his arms before folding his legs and getting close to the blinding screen connected to his keyboard. His eyes ached from the rays of light that burned into them. His lids were heavy as he scanned the document in front of him, the thin lines of Times New Roman blurring into a scribble. He could feel his eyes bags getting worse as the minutes ticked by, from 2:34 to 2:56 to finally 3:27. In the near hour he sat there he barely got a few unreadable lines typed into the Google Doc.

He rubbed his eyes, his uneven nails lightly grazing his eyelids as he extended his fingers out to the corners of his eyes to the bridge of his nose. His mind was fuzzy, everything blurred except for the battle to work or to sleep that argued in his head. He leaned back in his chair and looked up at his ceiling, still not being able to focus as small noises filled his ears, such as the whirling of his computer, or the car that occasionally passed outside, or the air conditioning blowing crisp wind into his house.

He leaned back forward to work, resting his fingers on the keys, before he heard a light switch and the soft glow of the hallway lamp illuminating under the crack of his door. He checked the time. 3:34, no one should be here.

He opened up his drawer and dug through piles of pencils and scrap paper until he found two sharp blades attached to identical hoops. He gripped the scissors in one hand and swirled his chair around to face the door when it creaked open. He brought the scissors close to his chest in defense, relaxing when he saw a familiar sleepy silhouette at his door.

He set down his scissors and turned back to his computer, assuming his boyfriend was just sleep walking or lost. That was until he felt two hands wrap around his chest and a face bury itself in his neck. "Come to beeed," Dream whined, his voice low and raspy from newly waking up.

"I have work to do," Techno said, continuing typing but pressing his head lightly into Dream's to show he cared about his worry. "Fine, I'll just work with you," Dream joked, straddling Techno's lap and burying his head back in the position it once was in. Techno moved one hand and rubbed his back slightly before going back to typing again.

The two sat in silence, only the sound of Techno's fingers dancing on the keys filling their ears. Dreams chest raised and fell as he breathed into Techno's skin, arms wrapped loosely around the pinkett's torso. He was so calm, a sense of tranquility radiating from his figure, his warmth only drawing Techno closer to the hypnotic escape of sleep.

Techno rested his head on Dreams, the scent of vanilla from his hair filling his senses. He was sure the boy fell back asleep against his chest until the boy shifted and mumbled, "Piglet, when was the last time you slept?" Techno swallowed uncomfortably, heart beating slightly faster. "Unimportant," he excused, kissing his lover's head and going back to typing. He was so close. Close to finishing his paper, close to falling asleep, close to the love of his life.

"Techno, please tell me," Dream begged, moving his head from his boyfriends neck to looking him in the eye. He had the most beautiful eyes, slightly crooked but a beautiful dark red colour, nearly black except for the hints of blood red that spread through them.

Techno looked at the blond male, sighing and moving a strand of messy blond hair to scoop behind his ear. "25 hours, 34 minutes, 27 seconds," Techno guilty said, looking away from his lover's green eyes back to his screen.
