Ezekiel drove me home after the bonfire. I'm currently in my bed after taking a warm shower to get the salt water off my hair.
It's been an hour since I went to bed and I still can't sleep.
I just keep replaying the kiss in my head.
I want to do that again. I see my phone lit up. I must have gotten a text.
Ok, but who texts you at 1 am?
I reach for my phone and see a text from Ezekiel.
I can feel the butterflies return in my stomach.
Ezekiel: I can't sleep. I'm just thinking about our kiss. You're a very good kisser btw :)
I giggle quietly, hoping my parents don't hear me.
June: You're a very good kisser yourself :)
Ezekiel: Will I be the luckiest man alive and have another kiss from you?
June: Idk... You'll have to work for it ;)
Again, I'm not sure where this confidence comes from.
Ezekiel: If I ask you out on a date? Will I? ;)
I freeze. Is he serious? Of course I would love to but- but. Well fuck it.
June: Yes that would be a good way ;)
Ezekiel: Will you go out on a date with me Sunday?
Ezekiel: Please?
I'm frozen.
The butterflies in my stomach are on crack.
June: Yes I would love to :)
Ezekiel: I'm officially the luckiest man. Good night June, sweet dreams love.
June: Good night. See you at the surf competition tmr.
That night, I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
It's now saturday and I'm getting dressed for the surf competition.
Both Ezekiel and Aaron will be competing. Representing the same team of course.
Sage will be picking me up in an hour to drive us there since Aaron invited her.
There's definitely something going on between these two.
And I'm here for it!
Just as I'm finished getting dressed I hear a honk.
"Bye mom, Bye dad! I'm coming home before sunset!'' I say to my parents seated in the living room.
"Have fun honey. Don't forget to put sunscreen on'' My mom answers.
I give her a quick yes and walk to my driveway.
Sage is seated in a black jeep wrangler.
Does everybody have a Jeep?!
I jump in the passenger seat and turn to my best friend.
"Good morning! Are we ready to go?'' I say exitedly.
I'm excited to see Ezekiel.
She started the car and soon we were on our way.
"Yes. I see you are very excited to see someone'' She grins.
I blush and cover my cheeks with my hands.
"Yes I am'' I admit giggling.
We stop at a red light and Sage turns to me.
"Aaron and I saw you two getting comfy in the water.'' She winks.
"We kissed. He was my first ever kiss'' I admit. Blushing just at the thought.
She gasps. ''Really? Your first?''
I nod my head.
"Was it good? Common! You have to give me details.'' She exclaims.
"It was perfect!'' I admit shyly.
She wiggles her eyebrows.
"Well on the topic of kissing... Me and Aaron kissed as well'' She blushes as well.
"When?'' I scream
"Just before you guys did.'' And we both laughed at that.
"He asked me out on a date for next week.'' She announces.
"I'm going on a date with Zeke tomorrow!''
She laughs. ''We should go on double dates one day!'' She says excitedly.
I approve.
"We should!''
