75. Game night

Harry and Matt finished working and was on their way home, Matt was oddly quite but Harry didn't want to push him, he just hold his hand to make sure he knows he's not alone.
When they arrived home they got into the shower and got dressed, Harry cleaned up the house while Matt sat on the couch "hey..." Harry said, he was worried about him, he didn't say a word in hours "mm...?" Matt mumbled "are you okay? you look a little bit off" Harry asked and sat next to him on the sofa "you know... you can tell me anything" Harry continued, he reached his hand and hold Matt's hand "you know me so well... you truly are amazing" Matt said and squeezed his hand "what's up?" Harry asked "I'm nervous, next week we are supposed to meet with my parents, how I will react... I'm afraid she will say afoul things..." Matt said and looked at him, Harry saw how much this affects him "you are forgetting one thing, I will be there, right by your side, I will never let anyone say afoul things about you or about our relationship..." Harry said with a smile, he will protect him, with everything he got "thank you for that, I love you" Matt said and smiled, Harry smiled widely, in that moment they heard a knock on the door, they kissed lightly and Harry got up to open the door ״hi" Dom said and hugged him "come in" Harry said when they broke the hug, he was about to close the door when he felt like he hit something "ouch?" David said and Harry opened the door wide "oh shit, sorry" Harry said and hugged him "this is what I get for bringing my finest wine?" David chuckle and hugged him back, they walked to the living room where Dom and Matt were sitting on the couch, when Matt saw them he got up "umm hey David" he said and David smiled at him and offered his hand for him to shake, Harry knew David wasn't ready to hug him yet, it's ok, Matt shook his hand "so listen, I owe you an apology..." Matt started to say, he played with his fingers, it drove Harry crazy that they are in this situation "me too.." David said and Harry frown "you too?" he asked "when we talked i was kind of a jerk, and I'm sorry for that..." David explained and looked at Matt who smiled at him "it's fine, you've every right to be, and I'm sorry about bringing you between Harry and I fight... I was wrong, and I'm working on it" Matt said and David smiled back, Harry breath out in relief, he was really scared that both of them would fight, but it went smoothly than he thought and he was happy about it, he doesn't want them to fight and over something that stupid.
They sat around the table and ate dinner, when they finished they all sat down on the couch, Harry leaned on Matt who warped his arm around him "so I brought a stupid game to loosen everything up!" Dom cheered, Matt rolled his eyes and Harry chuckle from his reaction, Dom pulled out a box with a lot of cards inside "ok, everyone pick up a card and decides who he wants to ask the question, it's supposed to bring us all closer, so don't get upset over anything" Dom said and narrow his eyes towards Matt "why are you looking at me?" Matt frown "you do have the temper..." Harry teased and Matt bite lightly his fingers in a protest, Harry chuckle "and be honest!" Dom continued, everyone nodded, Harry loved Dom's idea, it was very nice of him to try bring all of them closer "ok, i start" Dom said and picked up a card "Harry, given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?" Dom asked and Harry looked up at Matt "I can honestly say Matt..." Harry said, Matt leaned closer and kissed his cheek "awww... than I choose the janitor because I'm about to throw up" Dom said and Harry burst into laughter "green is not a good color on you.." Harry teased and Dom pulled his tongue out in a protest "ok, my turn" Harry said and picked up a card "David, what roles do love and affection play in your life?" Harry asked and David thought about it for a second "well, in the past it took a very little space in my life, but then you came along and of course my godfather, so I will say love is a big part of my life, and it's playing a big part of my life and my choices" David answered and Harry smiled towards him "wait, did you grow up with your godfather?" Dom asked "yes" David said and looked at Harry "why?" Matt asked and David looked down "you don't have to answer... let's keep playing" Harry said and David smiled at him and nodded in a thank you, Harry knew this is a sensitive subject, he will tell that when he's ready, David picked up a card "Matt, what is the greatest accomplishment of your life?" David asked "umm... I think coming out was the biggest thing I ever deal with, and it's definitely my greatest accomplishment because I was finally able to live my life the way I thought was right" Matt answered and Harry smiled so wide, he was so proud of him "that is a good answer" David said and Matt smiled and picked up a card "ok, David, If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?" Matt asked and Harry panicked, that was exactly what he doesn't wanted David to be asked "umm... I guess I change the way my godfather and I talked about my parents, I would change the fact he didn't let me talk about them... I don't know, it's stupid" David said and looked down, Harry got up and sat next to him "it doesn't stupid! I'm proud of you" Harry said and hugged him, he knew Matt and Dom are probably lost in the conversation but right now he didn't care, he's friend is hurting, that's all that matters "ok... I've got to ask..." Dom suddenly said, Harry backed away from the huge but stayed near him "well umm... when I was 10 years old my parents and I were on the way home, in the car, my brother sat next to me... I don't even remember what I was upset about... but I was so upset and I remember not talking to any of them..." David said, he looked down, didn't look at any of them, Harry stroke his back, letting him know he's not alone, he's safe, Matt and Dom sat there in silence, waiting for him to continue "the next thing I remember is waking up at the hospital... the car crashed... I was the only one who survive..." David continued "that's afoul... I'm sorry you had to go through that..." Matt said, Harry looked at him, he felt really good about Matt's reaction "thank you... and I'm sorry if i go a little too much with my relationship with Harry..." David said and looked at Matt "for a long time he was all I had... and I know you are his boyfriend and I need to back off sometimes... I will work on that too" David said and offered Matt a smile "it's ok... I guess we will have to learn to work on everything together" Matt said with a smile too, Harry looked at both of them, he was both happy and angry at them, like he was something in the middle, like a baby they have to share, but as long as they would get along with each other he doesn't care "I guess..." David smiled back "that was beautiful you guys..." Dom said "we should have played this game a long time ago!" Dom continued and tapped on his shoulder in a proud way, everyone laughed, it was Dom's turn so he picked up a card "Harry, If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?" Dom asked "umm... I always wanted to read people minds" Harry said, and he got up and sat back next to Matt who immediately embraced him close "seriously? that is the most common wish!" Dom complained "but it's true... If I was able to read people minds I could understand them better, I could ovoid hurting the people I love... I don't know, sounds kind of nice" Harry explained and Dom grin "what?" Harry asked from Dom expression "nothing... it's just so sweet..." Dom said and smiled, Harry smiled back "ok my turn!" David said and picked up a card "Harry, what is the biggest regret of your life?" David asked and Harry raised his eyebrows in surprise "can you ask me twice?" Harry asked and Dom nodded "ok fine... my biggest regret is that I didn't say yes when Matt asked me to marry him" Harry said and looked down, he didn't want to look at him, he felt so ashamed to feel like that "baby... is that true?" Matt asked and hold his face up to look at him "umm yes... I know it's stupid... I feel like I missed my chance..." Harry sighed, he didn't know how to explain it, of course it wasn't the time or the place but they could be engaged by now, and he always felt like he missed his shut, suddenly he felt Matt's lips on his lips, kissing him so passionately and cutting off all of his thoughts "you didn't missed anything... you will be my husband, you are my everything, if I wasn't so into giving you the proposal of a life time I would propose right now... but you deserve a beautiful proposal and a beautiful story... please don't feel like you missed anything... I'm here, I'm not going anywhere, unless you ask me to..." Matt said when they broke the kiss, Harry looked at him with so much love "I will never ask that... and you're right... it doesn't matter when it will happen, the important thing is that we are together, I love you" Harry said and kissed him again, he felt much better after sharing those feelings with him.
The rest of the night was so fun, they asked questions and drank beers and wine, at some point It was too late and too dangerous for them to drive home, so Harry suggested they both stay at their place, Harry and Matt got into their bed and cuddled up together, while Dom was in other bedroom and David were on the couch, all of them fall asleep in seconds.
