Chapter 8: Feral Frenzy

walking through the forest y/n and Simon searched for the slightest bit of the beastly scourge and whatever beast they came across was completely at their mercy.

y/n: been a while since I let loose like this 

Simon: I must say y/n you have quite the vast arsenal for such beasts 

y/n: I made many friends during my time in yharnam 

Simon simply nodded as they continued through forever fall, about an hour had past with no sign of a beast in sight yet just as y/n was about to comment on it he pulled Simon out the way as a large claw slammed down before pulling back.

y/n: we got a big one on us

some meters away from them was a darkbeast with its electricity pulsing throughout its fleshless body Simon placed his fingers on his forehead as y/n pulled out Avernus

y/n: a darkbeast hmm i'm soooo scared

???: never took you as someone to get scared y/n ha ha ha 

Simon: ah hunter good to see you 

Hunter: look alive we've got a darkbeast infront of us you ready y/n, Simon

the two nodded at each other as the darkbeast screeched sending waves of electricity everywhere, Hunter was the first to act as he transformed his burial blade to its scythe form

Hunter: COME ON FUCKER

it screamed and clawed for hunters head only for him to dash out the way using his quickening skill, using his opening hunter slashed at the beasts hind leg making it stagger allowing for y/n to send a fireball to its face lighting its fur on fire

hunter: nice

Simon was analyzing the way y/n and hunter fought as he shot the beast resulting in more screams, hunter jumped into the air landing on the beast riding it like a bull as he took out his flamesprayer burning it.

y/n: good on ya 

Hunter was about to be shaken off so he slashed at the darkbeasts skull cracking it severely but with no way out the beast grabbed hunter and threw him through several trees

y/n: HUNTER!!

Simon: WATCH OUT Y/N!!!

At the last second y/n dodged being slammed into the ground by growing his wings and flying backwards, Simon had rubbed fire paper on one of his arrows firing it into the beasts spine yet before he could ready another arrow the beast sent waves of electricity to Simon frying him.

y/n: damnit

Screeching the dark beast leaped at y/n and just as it was about to  land on him a flaming blade went through one of its paws and the owner of that blade was y/n and he had a rage in his eyes as he pushed the beast off him with no effort, the beast roared while relentlessly clawing at y/n who blocked all the slashes.

y/n:  HA HA HA HA HA TO EASY

blocking one last attack y/n slammed avernus into the ground before violently ripping it out causing fire to erupt in a wide radius, the darkbeast now laid on the ground beaten since its bones were destroyed or cracked.

Y/n: I love myself a good hunt heh heh heh

walking up to the beast y/n cracked his neck as his cape waved and fluttered in the wind, dragging his blade through the ground y/n smirked as he dropped Avernus only to pull out a portable cannon.

y/n: ya know I hate noise but this to to damn good

pulling the trigger of the cannon a explosion followed as y/n was consumed in smoke and fire only for it to clear some seconds later to reveal the beast with no head, smelling the smoke y/n grinned widely under his mask and just as he was about fire his cannon again a hand touched his shoulder and he looked back to see Simon in his ragged clothes slightly bleeding
