You were staring at the wall in the basement with anxiety skyrocketing. You were so thirsty that you were about to start begging for water. Madison was back in the room because Kelianne had thrown up a second time just from nerves and she was yelling at her to chill out.

You saw a sliver of a shadow move in the stairwell behind Madison and thought maybe it might be your opportunity if Ryland were to walk in and distract her. You saw a shimmer of the metallic badge reflecting the little bit of morning sunlight that was peeking in through the tiny window and sighed the biggest most relieved breath of your life.
Madison: “Oh quit huffing. God, you’re so dramatic.
Just then the group of officers pushed into the basement from 2 directions as Madison pulled a weapon and pointed it at you.
*BRYCE’S POV*
Bryce was starting to get anxious and couldn’t stand the thought of not knowing if they were okay. Everytime he tried to get close to a window to peek in, an officer blocked him. Tayler nodded towards a back stairwell on the opposite side of the building that the police had just gone in. Bryce got the same thought and both boys slowly backed away from the commotion on the side of the building.

Tayler: “Promise me you won’t do anything stupid.”
Bryce: “Stupider than this?”
Tayler: “Fair enough.”
*END BRYCE’S POV*
Madison’s shaking hands were pointing it at you while the cops all pointed theirs at her: “Put them down or she’s done.”
The officer’s didn’t budge: “Not happening ma’am.”
Madison: “Where is my brother?!”
Bryce stepped out from the shadows at the bottom of the stairwell: “Your brother is on his way to jail, where you’re headed.”
Tayler: *stepping next to him* “Give it up Madison.”
Kelianne yelled out for Tayler and his heart shattered seeing how broken she looked. When Madison switched to pointing at Tayler and back to you, officers took the opportunity to grab Kelianne and pull her to safety.
Madison was getting desperate and unraveling. One false move by anybody and she was cutting her losses and firing. Bryce stepped in front of you as your dad rushed down the steps realizing where his son had disappeared to.
You: *starting to cry more in fear for his life than you ever were your own* “Bryce!!! No!”
Dad: “Young man, you have your whole life to live and you don’t need to do this.”
Bryce: *standing tall and fearless* “You’re going to have to shoot me to get to her.”
Madison: *tilting her head to the side* “Shame, you were kinda hot.”
Madison cocked the hammer back as her finger trembled against the trigger: “I’m not going alive, so neither will she.”
Nick: “MADISON!”

She stopped for a second and turned to look at Nick in shock. No one noticed him following your dad downstairs, but it’s obvious he’s the only one that seems to have had an affect on her. Taking advantage of the distraction, the police tackled her to the ground, cuffing her as she stared blankly at Nick. The officers led Nick and Tayler upstairs and carried Kelianne to an ambulance because she was hyperventilating to the point of nearly passing out.
Officer: *to your dad and Bryce* “We need you to go back outside while we apprehend the perp and we will bring your daughter to you.”
Dad: “I’m not leaving my daughter with all due respect.”
Bryce also ignored the officer’s orders and knelt beside you to gently untie you. Your wrists were raw from the rope and your cheek was bleeding from one of the times Madison had hit you while tied up. He gently lifted you up off of the chair and wrapped you safely in his arms carrying you upstairs to the waiting ambulance himself.
You: “I don’t need an ambulance.”
Dad: “You’re going to the hospital along with Kelianne. You both need to be seen by a doctor and I’ll take their word for it that you’re ok.”
You started to protest, but it was obvious from the look on Bryce’s face that he was about to break down from how he’d found you and that he needed to hear from the Dr that you were okay more than anyone. You gave in and kissed him before they shut the ambulance doors and rushed off to the hospital.
