It's been a week and Tayler and Josh are getting ready for a party. Your parents are lecturing them on making good choices as they both groan, annoyed.

Mom: "Why don't you invite your sister?"

Josh: "What? No. She doesn't have any reason to go to this party. They're all juniors and seniors."

Dad: "She's the same age as you so if she can't go then maybe you shouldn't be either."

Josh: "What? That's the dumbest-"

Tayler: *cutting him off*
"Of course she can come."

Your parents walk off satisfied and Tayler grabs his keys warning you:
"No drinking, ok?"

At the party everyone is having fun playing a drinking game that involves answering embarrassing questions or chugging a cup of alcohol

Nessa: *slurring her words in a snotty way*
"Why aren't you playing?"

You: "I don't feel like getting wasted and acting sloppy."

That was obviously a dig at how drunk Nessa was and she was stumbling.

Nessa: "Sorry, I didn't know they were letting babies into this party."

Amelie started to defend you, but you grabbed the drink out of Nessa's hand and chugged it back. It was disgusting and tasted like a Jolly Rancher that had been soaked in rubbing alcohol. It wasn't the first time you'd drank, but it had been a while so you forgot how bad it burned going down.

After the first drink, the next 6 go down a lot easier. You are dancing with a random guy from school. You've seen him in the hall, but couldn't name him if your life depended on it. It was obvious he didn't have much experience with girls... or dancing for that matter.

Bryce came up and led you away from the loud music. You took that opportunity to pour yourself another drink from the table right next to you. He took the cup:
"Hey, hey. I think you've had enough."

You: "Why? Because some other dude isn't scared to dance with me in public? Maybe you just need MORE to drink then you wouldn't be a coward."

Bryce: "Okay... you've definitely had enough."

Tayler: *walking up looking aggravated*
"How much did you let her drink?"

Bryce: "Me? I didn't do this. I found her like this making another glass. She did this all by herself."

You: *slurring*
"I'm grown, Tayler. I know how to make a drink. I know how to do a lot of things that you wouldn't be very happy about."

Bryce: "Okay. Okay. Do you want me to drive her home so you don't have to leave early?"

Tayler: "No. She's my sister and my responsibility... not yours."

Bryce looks hurt that Tayler is being so harsh. What was so wrong with him trying to help? Would his best friend really never trust him anywhere near his sister?
