Chapter fourteen

Cross' pov 

After a few minutes I break the kiss and look at Dream. His entire face is covered in a yellow blush and he's looking at me with his adorable eyes. We're both staring into each other's eyes until we both hear a squeal from Dream's door. I whip my head away from Dream and to the door, I see Blueberry standing there with his phone. 

"I took a picture" he said in a singsong voice before running away 

"BLUE!" I run after him, after carefully placing Dream back on to his bed 

Dream's pov 

I sit there in a stunned silence. Did that just happen? I stay still while mentally screaming at myself until my Brother walks in, he hands me a glass of water. I drink it in a few short gulps, I guess I didn't know how thirsty I really was. 

"So, what happened?" Nightmare asks, I tilt my head questionably

"What are you asking about?" 

"What did G do?" His voice suddenly cold. I start stuttering trying to answer his question.

"Cross has already told us what he saw, now what happened to you?" My brother sounds concerned and worried  

"W-Well I woke up i-in that room and there w-was a chain on my leg t-that I tried to break, then G was b-behind me. H-He held me against the w-wall and a-and" I pause before saying more, letting fresh tears run down my cheeks and my lip starts quivering. My brother hugs me and rubs my back

"Dream, breathe" I take a few deep breaths before continuing 

"and then-n he k-kissed me, he pressed a place on m-my neck and i-it really hurt. I kicked him an-and he stopped b-but then he starting s-saying how I shouldn't of done that. H-He grabbed me by th-the neck and held m-me in the air, speaking about how he ha-has told me b-before that I-I had to o-obey him or h-he would hurt m-me and that I had d-disobeyed him by p-pushing him away. H-He he slammed me in-into the wall, screaming about h-how I ha-hadn't listened to h-him." 

I winched at the memory of pain, I could tell that Nightmare was getting angry. He was holding on to me tighter and his tentacles had sharped to a point, up by his sides ready for a fight

"As he w-was holding me against the wall by my neck, I saw C-Cross by the door and I screamed for h-help. G s-saw Cross charging towards him, he d-dropped me and all m-my weight fell o-on to my a-arm. T-That's how it g-got broken. T-The next few moments were a blur b-but I got o-out of the w-way of G a-and Cross fighting, the ch-chain mush have be-been broken by the f-fight. I remember hearing Cross shout my name, then seeing G run towards me then Cross crouched in front of me and I just held on to him out of fear. I heard more people coming in, your voice and felt s-something get placed over my skull then I-I passed out." 

I wipe away the few tears that had collected in my eyes and ran down my cheeks. I could hear my brother's breathing, it sound like he was angry. I wrapped my arms around him and said  

"Brother, c-calm down" I say nervously, I feel Nightmare relax 

"Sorry Dream" 

"No nee- Wait how did Cross know that G kidnapped me?" I asked as soon as the thought hit me 

"He said he saw you on the forest path, then you ran off into the bushes. Cross said he heard a commotion coming from where you ran off to, so he followed it. He said he saw G holding you and yelled your name but G disappeared"  Nightmare said, I thought it was a bit weird that Cross was there, Ink told us that Cross said he had something to do, but it was convenient he had been there. 

"But Dream?" 

"yeah?" 

"Where did the cut on your leg come from?" I forgot to tell Nightmare what had happened....yesterday or last week? How long had I been out?

"Oh that, when Blue left, the day before I went to meet Ink at the park, I forgot to close the door and Outer came in. He was worried that someone might of broken in but I ended up falling down the stairs and cutting my leg, I forgot to tell you since I was in a rush"  Nightmare looked at me and said 

"You're an idiot Dream" a few seconds passed before he said anything more 

"I'm glad you're safe" I hugged my brother again and we stayed there for a few minutes until my brother sat back and said 

"Why did Cross chase Blue down the stairs earlier?" My face became flushed with yellow blush as I tried to think what to say 

"Oh~, did you two kiss?" 

"Y-Yes" 

"And let me guess, Blue took a picture" I was shocked over how well Nightmare had guessed that 

"H-How did you know?" 

"He's done it before, now do you want food?" 

"Yes please" 

"Do you think you can stand?"

"I don't know, maybe"  Nightmare helped me stand up and walk to the kitchen, where we saw Cross on floor with his hands over his head. Blue was standing above him holding his phone 

"What's going on here?" Nightmare said 

"Well, everyone knows about your kiss Dream" I could feel my cheeks becoming yellow again when he said that. Nightmare helped me walk to the kitchen table and put a plate of toast in front of me. I quickly ate the food, not knowing how hungry I am before there was food for me to eat . Blue pulled Nightmare out of the room, despite his protests and Cross came and sat next to me. There was an awkward silence

"Umm, so Cross are we together now?" I ask to try to get rid of the tension in the room, I start blushing again when I say this

"Sure, if you want to be?" I smile at that, then Cross walks over to me and I stand up. Cross pulls me into a hug, I hug back with my blush becoming ever so bigger as we hug. 

"Dream, can I kiss you again?" 

"Sure"
