A few days later

Ever just feel empty?

Like you are alive but you aren't at the same time.

That's exactly how Isla was feeling right now as she laid on her bed staring at the wall. She didn't have any clothes on due to it being hot the past night but she couldn't help but feel cold. Her body was shivering but she didn't move to cover herself.

She just stared at the wall not moving. The only movement she had was blinking her eyes every few seconds. And she was only doing it to let herself know that she was alive.

"What's going on with her" Kaia asked Isabella in a hushed tone in the corner of Isla's room. They thought Isla couldn't hear them but she could.

"Sometimes she just has these episodes where she just feel empty inside. She doesn't move or do anything except stare at something. Our parents use to take her to therapy for it or give her pills for it but nothing really helps her. She usually gets like this once every few months. It doesn't last long only a day before she is back to her normal self." Isabella explained and Kaia sighed.

"Best thing is just to let her be. She will be fine" Isabella said softly and Kaia turned her head to look at Isla with a worried expression on her face.

"Are you sure?" Kaia asked and Dakota walked in the room confused.

"What's wrong?" She asked and Isabella sighed before explaining again.

"You can't just leave her there" Dakota said as she looked at Isla who was still shivering. Dakota grabbed a blanket and laid it over her before looking down at Isla in panic and worry.

"Maybe we could call Ray" Kaia suggested and Dakota raised her eyebrow.

"Ray barely knows her what's she going to do" Dakota shrugged and Kaia frowned at her.

"When you use to get your moods, I was the only one who could get you smiling again Dakota" Kaia fired and Dakota scoffed.

"That's because you were my girlfriend and is the love of my life" She said and Kaia smiled at her before shaking her head.

"Ray is just someone Isla literally just met three weeks ago" Dakota said and Kaia sighed.

"Well we aren't helping and she isn't okay so we have to try someone else" Kaia said before looking at Isla who continued to stare at the wall.

"Ray barely knows her Kai." Dakota said and Kaia rolled her eyes.

"Shut the fuck up and Isabella go call her" Kaia said before walking over to Isla. Isla felt the bed dip but didn't have the energy to turn her head to face Kaia. Her aunt stared at her in worry before wrapping her arm around Isla's only blanket covered body.

"I know you are feeling down but I just want to let you know that I'm here for you Isla." was all Kaia said before laying her head on Isla's arm as she sighed big spooning her niece.

"Ray?" Isabella said as she called her from Isla's phone since she didn't have Ray's number in hers.

"Izzie? What's up" Ray said and Isabella could hear movement on the other end of the phone.

"Look I need you to come over and just be there for Isla. Please don't ask questions because I probably won't know the answers to them" Isabella said bluntly as she sighed rubbing her temples feeling a headache coming.

"Well is she at least okay?" Ray asked and Isabella looked over at Isla who was being cuddled by her aunt before biting her lip.

"Physically" Isabella replied and Ray sighed before hanging up. Isabella frowned not knowing if that was a yes or a no.

"Is she coming?" Dakota asked and Isabella shrugged.

"I don't know honestly" She answered before walking over to Isla who was still staring at the wall. She blinked to signal Bella that she was still awake making Bella smile softly.

"As long as you are alive I have hope" She mumbled before walking back to Dakota who was frowning at Isla.

"Maybe we should call her parents" Dakota said before getting her phone out as she walked out the room.

It didn't take long for Ray to reach Isla's place. She parked her car and rushed into the house seeing that it was already unlocked. Looking around, she frowned before heading up the stairs.

"Izzie?" Ray said causing the girl to jump in fright as she scared her.

"Don't give me a heart break like that. You scared the Jesus out of me" Isabella said and Ray raised her eyebrow at the statement before shaking her head.

"Where is she?" Was all Ray said and Isabella led her down the hallway to Isla's bedroom where Kaia still laid snuggling Isla who was still staring at the wall.

"Auntie Kaia, Ray is here" Isabella said and Kaia lifted her head up before smiling. She stood up stretching her limbs before walking over to hug Ray who gladly accepted the hug.

"I know you want to ask questions but honey I wouldn't even know the answers to your questions" Kaia said looking back at Isla.

"It's fine" Ray sent her a smile before walking further into the room.

"I know you can hear me and knows it me." Ray said before laying down in the spot where Kai was once laying.

"Come on y'all out" Dakota said and led everyone out the room to give Ray and Isla some privacy. She shut the door and Ray looked at the door before looking back at Isla who didn't moved an inch.

"You can be silent and not talk to me all you want but I'm just going to let you i talk a lot and you will get tired of me eventually" Ray said before clearing her throat. She leaned against Isla's headboard before beginning to talk about random things to see if she would be able to get a reaction out of Isla.

And she did.
