Soobin held yeonjun in his arms, rubbing his back as his crying subsided.

"Why are you still here?" Yeonjun whispered into Soobin's chest. "it's weird."

Yeonjun looked up at him in confusion. "what are you talking about?" Soobin let out a chuckle and combed through Yeonjun's hair with his fingers. Yeonjun leaned into the touch, eyes closed. "Well...you told me to leave, but you still haven't released me. Why tell me to go if you don't want me to?"

Yeonjun sighed and shrugged. "I guess I don't want you to go but...Soobin, I don't want to hold you back. Just leave me, please."

"What are you talking about, hyung? You're not gonna hold me back, and I'm never, ever leaving you. I don't care what you think, I'll stay by your side forever and help you get through this. "Really?" Yeonjun asked softly, looking up at Soobin with his gentle brown eyes. Soobin smiled at him and nodded. "I promise."

Yeonjun smiled and placed a kiss on Soobin's lips. "Thank you,"

-One year later-

Soobin missed him. His heart yearned him for him everyday.

Being away from who you love is hard and painful, especially if you don't want to be.

But since they both have to go to college and learn or whatever, they can't be around each other fore

"Hyung~ we're gonna be late!" Soobin called out, knocking on the bathroom door. It swung open, revealing Yeonjun in a beige jumper and black shorts, his hair styled nicely too. "I don't even know where we're going! You told me to dress nicely, but you look too good! Are you sure I'm not underdressed? Should I put on more makeup? It's dark outside, did I take to long?"

Soobin laughed and gave Yeonjun a sweet kiss. "No, baby, you didn't underdress," He replied, pulling Yeonjun out the house. Yeonjun waved goodbye to his mother, who was reading a book (not really, she was watching the two boys and smiling at how adorable they were.)

"And to answer your other questions, you look beautiful without any makeup, and you didn't take too long, the world just moves to fast." Soobin said, opening the car door for Yeonjun to get in. "You can't live without complimenting me, can you?" The older said, trying to hide his blush.

"Correction, I can't live without you." Yeonjun hit his arm lightly, earning a laugh from his boyfriend. Soobin started the car and drove them somewhere. "Where are we going? Why are you ignoring me~?"

"You big baby, I thought Hyuka was the youngest out of us all." Soobin teased, parking the car. "Why are we at the park?"

"Do you remember the first time we came here?"

"Hmm..oh yeah! You stupidly jumped into the water, even though you can't swim." Yeonjun grumbled, remembering how cold he was. "Yeah...that was stupid. But it was a night to remember." Soobin got out the car and opened the for Yeonjun to get out. Yeonjun thanked him, the warm night air hitting him.

"Come on, let's go." Soobin said, taking hold of Yeonjun's hand. "Are we going to the lake?"

"Yeah. You're curious today."

"I mean, you came over suddenly and told me to get ready. I don't know anything." Soobin hummed in acknowledgement. Soobin covered the elder's eyes. "Okay, I wanna surprise you now~"

"Aish, I'm too curious!"

Even though a whole year had passed, the lake seemed like nothing had changed. There were people around though, and they were decorating sky lanterns. "What's going on?" Yeonjun questioned, his ears picking up the quiet yet excited chatter. Soobin giggled excitedly. "Remember when you watched tangled for the first time a few months ago? You cried at the lanterns so much I got worried."
