"Daddy, why do I have to see the Doctor again?" Izuku asked.
Hisashi looked down at his son. Izuku was dwarfed by Gigantomachia's bulk but was holding on to his huge hand. His bodyguard was being extremely careful with his grip and the white haired man rather thought that it was more that Izuku was holding onto Gigantomachia rather than Gigantomachia holding onto Izuku.
He'd introduced Gigantomachia to Izuku a few days after Izuku's birthday. The huge man was very taken with his son and later that same day, he had checked up on them to find that Gigantomachia was sitting up against the wall with Izuku asleep on his lap. He had made it clear to the large man that in case of emergency, he was to protect Izuku.
"It's a check up before you go to school," Hisashi told him.
He didn't expect the smile that burst across Izuku's face. His green eyes were wide and happy and there were tears in the corners. He had lived with Inko for long enough to know that Izuku had inherited her tendency to cry with happiness. He would grow out of that.
Izuku began skipping with happiness.
All For One's eyes narrowed. "You don't like it here?" He asked carefully. Why else would Izuku be so happy?
"No! I love being with Daddy," Izuku said. He'd learned better now than to say that he wanted to be with Mummy as well. Hisashi thought the desire was still there but only sometimes.
However, there was a but lurking behind his son's words. Izuku might only be five years old but Hisashi could hear it. He could hear it with his associates and they had some skill at controlling themselves.
Hisashi cocked his head slightly, letting his son know he should continue.
Izuku looked uncertain.
"What is it, Izuku?" He probed.
"It's something bad, and Mummy said I shouldn't say bad things," the green haired boy replied.
"I want to know, Izuku. I want you to be happy." He decided to say nothing about Inko. There was no need to bring attention to the fact that she wasn't there.
Last he had heard, Izuku and Tomura were getting along. Well, maybe that was an exaggeration but Tomura had realised that he had to live with Izuku and they had worked out how to stay out of each other's way. At least, that's what Kurogiri had reported.
Izuku looked uncertain for a few moments more before he sighed. "It's Tomura," he whispered looking at the floor.
"He hasn't hurt you," All For One commented. He hadn't been called upon to transfer Tomura's quirk back to him and Kurogiri hadn't reported that he had to bandage Tomura's burns.
"He wants to," Izuku said as firmly as a five year old could.
"Izuku, what do you mean?"
"He wants to," his son repeated. "He's always watching. And sometimes he comes close."
"I'll talk to him," All For One promised. "But Izuku, I'll tell you what I told Tomura. There is a place for both of you," he assured his son. "I need you both."
"Why?" It was a surprisingly innocent question but Hisashi could feel the weight behind it.
"Because I need your help," he told his son. It was the truth.
The simple explanation seemed to satisfy Izuku which was just as well because Hisashi wasn't sure he'd be able to explain what exactly he needed help with in a way that a five year old would understand.
"Hello Doctor," Izuku said instead as they went through the door.
"Ah Little Izuku," Kyudai greeted them.
