Wèifú's POV

First quarter is over, and to my surprise my grades somehow improved! My English getting close to a line of 8, my mathematics almost a line of 9, and my Mandarin(Mandarin is basically the Chinese language) hitting 92!

"Woah, you got 92 on Mandarin!? I failed mine..." One of my friends said. "Mine was 78, almost failing..." Another friend of mine said. "Who tutored you? Miss Kao?" Another asked and I started to think.

"Now that I think about it, someone did send me a few modules to review before exams..." I mumbled and everyone looked at me curiously. "Who was it? If it isn't Miss Kao, then I don't know who can possibly teach you."

"Actually..m it's been a long time since I've talked to him... Why would he have sent me those..." I thought to myself and then I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Hey, are you blanking out on us or something?" My friend questioned me and I shook my head.

"Sorry, I was just thinking for a second, I don't remember who gave me modules to review though, probably my brother or something." I explained trying to not get Shēnyuān involved right now.

"Well if you do remember who reviewed you, tell us who it is, they seem pretty good at their studies and could be a great help to us." They said before walking out of the classroom.

"Oh right... It's time to go home now." I said to myself looking behind me staring at Shēnyuān with a slight smile. "You've been staring at me for a while, is something wrong?" Shēnyuān asked in a formal tone.

"It's just you're... Um... You sound different, and what's with the smile?" I said a bit confused which made Shēnyuān smile fade to a neutral expression. "It's been 2 and a half months, of course stuff would change." Shēnyuān explained looking a bit more annoyed.

"I guess that would make sense... But... What's with the expression?" I asked kinda confused. "Listen, nothing has changed, Rito just said it would be a good idea to smile, even if it isn't true, so I've faking it... For a month now. Shēnyuān explained before putting his bag on his back and left the classroom."

"Wait, I want to know something, why did you send me those modules? And how did you even know my account?" I asked and Shēnyuān crossed his arms. "You messaged me a few times when we had group works remember? And those modules were meant for Rito to help me with them, but I accidentally sent them to you." Shēnyuān explained heading towards the stairs.

"Plus, I remember you said you were repeating this grade because you failed exams... So why delete them if you could use it." Shēnyuān added grabbing my report card from my hand and reading it.

"See, you did pretty good in Mandarin, and worked pretty hard on Mathematics and English." Shēnyuān said handing my report card back.

"Now, I need to get going, Rito needs me to help him with something upstairs." Shēnyuān mumbled before going up the stairs and nodded. "Well... Thanks for the help Shēnyuān." I mumbled heading down the stairs.

Rito's POV

"He's coming up, get the codes ready." I said as Shēnyuān slowly walked to the computer lab. "The code's done, are you sure he knows how to do this?" My classmate asked and I nodded. "He's done this for some time, I'm sure he can do it with ease." I replied and opened the door for Shēnyuān, and he gave me a tight hug.

"Ah... Thanks for coming here, everyone's waiting for you." I said and Shēnyuān looked confused. "What do you need anyways? And why's there people here? I thought it's just gonna be us alone."

I shook my head and tried to explain as I walked him over to the desktop. "Well, do you know how to work with LEDs? I know you like programming and LEDs are part of programming." I said as Shēnyuān sat down.

"Okay, let's see... Your ports and codes are all wrong. You're LEDs are in 3, 4 and 5, but your code says to light ports 1, 2, and 3." Shēnyuān said adjusting the code to work properly. "They teach programming to fourth graders now?" One of my friends asked.

"No, not yet, I just love programming and tampering technology. I've been homeschooled and joined a online class that helps my programming hobby, anything related to Arduinos were learned in the first semester of the class." Shēnyuān explained with a slight smile.

"Wow... That sounds pretty cool, you must be really advanced then... How are your grades then?" My friend continued asking and Shēnyuān handed her his report card.

My friends and I then looked at his report card seeing everything at line of 9 surprising me. "Yes, everything's high, even if I spend most of my time brewing tea and programming, I still have a schedule for all my studies." Shēnyuān explained continuing to type the code in more.

"It's almost like you haven't changed at all since the start of this school." I said with a chuckled and Shēnyuān giggled back, surprising me. "In a way, yes, nothing has changed, but when it comes to socializing, I would  say that I've gotten better at communication." Shēnyuān replied and I smiled.

"That was the first time you looked happy in school, it suits you better than your dull face." I complemented Shēnyuān and he stood up looking more relaxed.

"Perhaps, but I don't like my classmates so I don't want to smile for them." Shēnyuān replied then  Anyways the codes all done, if you turn it on, it should flash green for 5 seconds, then yellow for 3 seconds, then red for 10 seconds, then it'll repeat"

Shēnyuān walked to the side and I activated the code, doing exactly what he said it would do. "Well, go show that to your teacher and get your grade and all that, I'll be waiting downstairs so we can leave together." Shēnyuān said before heading out the door.

"Boy, your friend is pretty smart, and it looks like he trusts you a lot." One of my friends said to me. "Yeah, he's a nice kid after you give it some time. Very clingy sometimes, but also very different to strangers or new people, I would say menacing but that's just my opinion on him." I replied back as I wrote down Shēnyuān's code.

"Well, go get the teacher so we can finish this and go home. I need to tutor Shēnyuān on his Foreign language class."

(Foreign language is Japanese in this place, while Mandarin is the mother tongue. Just some info if you wanted to know)

We then finished our work and left the classroom. When I arrived downstairs, I grabbed Shēnyuān and walked with him back home.
